JOURNAL: kyburg (Donna Hutt Stapfer Bell)

  • *growl* 2002-07-23 13:07:37 iserlohn - Any chance you can pull a switcheroo with Lynn? I'll be better. Promise. Couldn't possibly be worse!

    Hmm. 40 to 50. Hmmm.
  • Mmm. 2002-07-23 13:02:48 It wasn't 90 degrees when I stepped out the door to go to work this morning. Amazing what constant, inescapable heat can do to one.

Jim sounds like either a barking seal or like he'd like to self-remove a lung. Bronchitis is just sucky.

House scheduled to be finished this weekend. Then, its up to us to get it ready to sell - keep your fingers crossed.

As soon as we move...as soon as we move...I keep chanting the mantra....*sigh*
  • Two windows, no waiting 2002-07-18 13:10:43 AD - take a package of sugar. Swallow it dry - important - do not inhale. My other favorite hiccup cure is taking a glass of ice cold water, and taking one sip at a time, looking at the bottom of the glass between sips. That, and a lot of yoga-style deep breathing. Good luck.

Amizadai - Jim's brother and his family are visiting Australia right now (and he's green over it, of course) - but the very idea of skiing right now bends my brain around backwards. It's HOT here. Someone said they were planning a trip in November through New Mexico and all I could think of was that it would be cool enought to think about then. Poor lil' rats - you'll be able to pick them up again when you go back to school again, neh?

iserlohn - have they given you the bircher muesli yet? (Gee, everyone is probably cringing right now as they only know muesli from that carboard in a cardboard box crap they have here....) Suffice it to say, it's good. And yes, they put chocolate in everything. And the yogurt is GOOD.

Kusoyaro - trash cans. Ye gods. But Leandra is coming! *happy bounce* I had pho on Tuesday, BTW - and life was much better afterward.

Machine - EK should come work in our web department. They all sit in the dark. They like it. Some days, I walk in there and smell incense and clove cigarettes and they have those gel candies to munch on. I love where I work. They rock. Computer Science and Film. Yummy plan, man.

    Back to the salt mines.

  • Time for the Queen jones to set in... 2002-07-17 12:46:13 *checks database for todays download choices*

iserlohn - It's scary that I'm reading everything verbatim and not checking a dictionary. But my grammar sucks loud enough for me to abstain from responding in kind - particularly without a german keyboard to boot.

EK - No fair blogging without a means to respond. Nyah. And as far as unfinished works are concerned...I await the day I can leave a video undone. I await the day I can actually find my CDs and stuff again. Gah, this sucks. And the gym? A fond memory. Every spare moment right now is taken up with trying to stay cool and get enough sleep. And the thought of walking in that gym without some cooling off is scary. Went in there when the temps outside were less than 80 and there was no difference inside.

Suckage. And blech all over the place.

Phade's getting married...and is registered at Target. So were we. Hehehheh....

Anyone want to consider a mini-con here in town? AX sucked. I think we can put together the old standby of showing up for a weekend and watching anime until our eyes bleed.

What do you think? Dave & Busters in the Ontario Mills Mall has a AmeriSuites attached to it. Get a meeting room there, set up and watch whatever and then go blow shit up in Battletech...

    Just a thought.
  • Blech 2002-07-15 13:40:10 Dehydration and heat don't mix. Remember this - and add in a nasty case of indigestion and you have my weekend.

    Blech.

Find a deep, dark hole and stay in it blech.

The house still resembles my garage. The carpets are scheduled now to go in on the 27th. The vinyl floors go in today and keep your fingers crossed, they'll do a good enough job of it for me to start using the bathtub again.

Dreaming, dreaming, dreaming of little house of dreams dreams...but went looking for The Next Car over the weekend. Between Honda Civic hybrid and the BMW Mini Cooper. Cooper has it all over Civic in sheer personality. Price comparable. Mileage is well, better, on the Civic. Duh. Going to see what insurance and tax breaks do to the plus and minus sheets. Stay tuned.

Wondering if the sign in front of the Terrace Theater is still upside down. If I get down there, I'll let you know.

iserlohn - *smile* Eat hearty. And yes, they are that nice. Welcome to culture shock. And jet lag. Don't worry, within two weeks, everything will be back to normal, sleep-wise.

and I killed off all the Cardcaptor Sakura DVDs I got at Expo...and finished the Kyoto arc for Ruroni Kenshin last night. Oy. Wadda geek.
