They tell you it's a kid thing...and you don't believe them...

Kid things aren't supposed to hurt, are they? They're for kids, right?
Machine - I can't wait to meet you. We can sit down, talk shit and get all these ideas out of your head where people can look at them and reassure you that you're not loosing it. You are trying so hard to see the best part of yourself in other people, though, that you are missing the important part. You aren't seeing yourself in yourself.
It's a kid thing. But sooo important. If you don't see yourself without looking in a mirror and only look for yourself in other people, you are going to get bounced on your head every time. If they reject you, then there is nothing for you to fall back on. You are who you see when they "like" you. If they don't "like" you - where did you go?
Jim and I are solitaries. We get along so well because we're two of a kind. You can survive being a solitary. In this part of your life, you're still trying to decide who you want to be/going to be/can be.
It's a kid thing. Hang on to your treasured self - but don't keep trying to hook up with someone to make it all work. When it's the right time, the right things will come together -- and you'll wonder how it got so easy. *trite psychopop over*
And I think Ralph and Hannah are laying low cos' you'd kick their butt.
iserlohn - *thumbs up* Atta boy. You did real good. I wonder why he didn't give you a full A, though - and give EK her due, she's the one who sent you towards that documentary maker in the first place. I am still struggling to make the trip overseas...so help, I'll do it if I have to hock the dog...but I'm not willing to pay a grand a pop if I can pay $400 a pop. I got my pride. And my rep to maintain. ^^
Kusayaro - got Yu Yu Hakusho. Found out what your name means. You dog.
Bowler - you coming out for Anime-Expo? Huh? Huh?
Someone has mention there is a Hooters across the street from the Long Beach Convention Center. Only if I can go in there, point giggle and make rude comments. *thinks* Wonder how much trash I can talk before they throw me out...*heh* Getting thrown out of Hooters for being rude. Now that might be a dare I'll have to take.
I am really going to recommend a room party offsite (say, the Queen Mary) where we all just show up - or camp out on the lawn and eat Pocky.
10,000 people. Madness.

EK - *snerky snarls* Hey, at least you got tits. Two layers of spandex for me and nothing happens - except the rare moment when I look down and imagine I see cleveage. And when I'm done with this stage in my life, that will be gone too.
*sigh*
Okay, guys. You got complaints? Take it someplace it'll do some good - and you can do some good.
Pie Row -- Take what you know and call your local police department. Ask for the officer who handles whatever your community calls Neighborhood Watch - some call it COPS (Community-Owned Problem Solving) and so forth. Tell that worthy what you know. Ask their opinion. Assume nothing. And don't waste a lot of time trying to figure it out - likely the parent was treated just the same and needs help as much as the child.
- Jim won a change in custody while in high school over abuse nobody else saw.
- I can remember seeing such marks on my sister when I was 5 years old - not to put too fine a point on it, Dad was doing drugs. They would treat us for PTSD these days from what I saw him do. 'Nuff said.
UncleMilo - what, the Dems need to get bashed? It's not their responsiblity. Matter of fact, "they" aren't any more responsible than anyone else who sits by and lets this stuff go on. It's not an "Us vs. Them" thing - we may have a representative government, but that doesn't mean that each and every one of us aren't the country, aren't the government and have some say it how it runs.
It's an election year. Make the most of it. And if you're upset - fer cryin' out loud, TELL SOMEONE. Write a letter, send an email, jam their fax machine. That's what we pay them for.
I'm Green and proud of it. And no, that does not make me a mushy-headed liberal in love with Nader.
Voting is a priviledge. I do it willingly whenever I'm asked.
