  • Finally... 2003-07-05 20:05:58 I'm finally back to editting, after about three or four month break. But it's not the GTO amv I was planning. Actually, its a MAD. I opened up after effects and begin doing some title screens, intro type of stuff just to get back in the grasp of the complicatedness that is AE. I do however now have my intro planned out, and somewhat put together. I have to go back and add crazy MAD effects to the backgrounds now, but once I get the intro done and all, you can expect a beta of it, so be on the look out.

And I'm thinking this is going to be the long awaited Felt the Rhythm vid. Instead of ripping you off with an AMV, I'm going to salute Omni's series with a MAD....^_^' Crazy effects like you wouldn't believe....hopefully....

We will see, but expect the intro preview beta sometime around the end of next week....

  • Good luck Omni..... 2003-06-29 21:46:31 well, you have taken it upon yourself to better the amv community...
I salute you... i've seen a lot of noobs get flamed and just horribly spoken to, and yelled RATFAG at and all of that. yet, this is the first time i've seen a thread completely devoted to the noobs learn from their mistakes, from someone who has the experience to point them out...

best of luck on your task of bettering(??) the community. we all know it needs to be done....^_-

  • a quick comment..... 2003-06-28 23:35:15 What do you know....I just happen to come and browse the forums for the first time in almost 3 months now, on the same night that a little flame war type of thing starts up....Granted I've seen far worse and nastier posts in the past, back in the good old days so to speak. I remember good old Clouddbz, back before the forum went and got it's make over. Now that was a flame war....hell, i even participated in that one, and i'm usually one to just enjoy reading and not participating.....

I didn't read all of the post on this last thing here, so i can comment on anything dealing with it too much. The just of it just seems to be Omni questioned people if they read the guides and asked for help or not.., It started out with MJ and Omni on opposite sides. Now that's a tough one. What side to I pick?? Two of my favorite editors are taking opposing viewpts. That's not right. We all have to stick together.. but since we can't, I'm just going to say Omni has a point, but MJ does as well and leave my stance at that... I was more interested in the fact that MJ and Omni were having a rather respectful posting... Then MJ sort of faded out and others jumped in, and i noticed some vulgar language exchanged(o_0), and then i saw someone calling omni an egotistical maniac... now that's not right. there was no need to get all combative in that forum.. granted I haven't been in here in a quite a while, but last i checked, omni was the man, and not just some egotistical jerk. besides, he has every right to be proud of his work... i can't speak for recently, but when i was frequenting the board, I didn't see omni flaunting his work in anyone's face or doing anything that would cause you to think of him that way...and even if he is now, which i don't think he is, his work is worthy of being flaunted. that's just my opinion, but i believe that i am a good judge of talent, and i can speak on this matter considering I've seen quite a few vids, and basically all of omni's that he has had up.....basically, what i'm saying is, let's not resort to name calling. and don't call someone egotisical just becuase they make good vids. with all the lacking vids out there today, the few like omni and mj have every right to consider themselves better than most, because they are.......

yep, things were so much easier back in the old days when it was the entire board arguing against cloudDbz....it was easy to choose sides then... I miss out clouddbz, he was one damn good jerk.......^_^

  • This, that and the rest..... 2003-04-03 07:29:46 I'll be just as good, if not better than koop one day??? I'm going to hold you to that statement devo. If I don't get people quiting over one of my vids soon, i'm going to come track you down.......^_^

in all seriousness though, Euphoria is an awesome vid. I'm in the same boat with Omni. Seeing vids like this one, and Odorikuruu, and the 'Feel the Rhythm' vids(^_^) makes me want to go out and make one of my own, not stop making vids all together....and I promise I will get a new vid out soon. As soon as summer rolls around, and I have more free time to get anything done, you will see my first new vid since Onyou pop up....^_^

Sorry MJ, but that liquid petals remake was SO horribly sad that I couldn't bear the agony of finishing it. That's the last time I ever try to remake a classic like that.....^_^

As soon as April 22 rolls around, and the next volume of Ai Yori Aoshi is sitting on my shelf, perhaps then I can start the next video I want to do. I was actually playing around with it a week or so ago, but decided that there isn't enough footage on the first volume, and I don't want to mix in dl'ed footage with it.....so I will wait and hope that I can get all I need from the first 2 volumes.....unless you want to hook me up with those awesome digisubs you used Omni.....^_^

  • Update..... 2003-02-14 10:45:00 Almost done with Liquid Petals. I wanted it to be done by today. It would have been a good little Valentine's Day video. Since it isn't done yet then I guess it won't get to ba a Valentine's Day video. I can finish it in a day or two more of editing....

It's coming along quite nicely. I doesn't have that good ol' MJ feel to it, but I suppose that's good. I need to work on it abit and fix to my 'style'. Anyways, got through the end of the second verse. One final verse to finish, and it's all done. Until then, here is the first 2:00 or so...

    Enjoy....
