500 images isn't enough? Maybe I should rethink this thing then. I didn't plan on getting near that many. I was thinking more around 50 or so. Then I could do some photoshop work on them, and finish with about 150 images all together. I didn't think I would need all that many, since I was going to be using video footage is some places. It's my whole MAD/AMV crossover type idea. Maybe I should start looking for a Lain artbook or something to get some more images...
I must also be crazy because I'm planning on doing the entire thing in Premiere. I unfortunatly do not have AE at this time. I was just going to create my own shattering effect using about 10 video layers cut down to size, spinning off in different directions. It doesn't really matter if it doesn't come out looking good. This wil be my first MAD, and will be good practice for when I do own AE, and get more familiar with this MAD stuff. I have the excuses that it is my first MAD, plus I'm not really familiar with MADs and probably shouldn't be making one in the first place...^_^
I bought the 2nd DVD of Key tonight. That anime is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The fact that there are 7 episodes on the first disk, and 6 on second is also plus. Most 29.98 anime DVDs have about 3, maybe 4 episodes. So 7 is just awesome.
I have the first 2 disks of Lain ripped. I'm off to start the 3rd...

2 MADSs finished while I was at work today. Both of them using Kanon. That seems to be a fairly popular anime to use for a MAD. I think I'm about ready to start my MAD type video. I think I would like to use Lain for my main character, and scenes from Lain as my backgrounds. So I guess it's kind of a hybrid AMV/MAD vid in a way. Kind of like a Lain AMV with stills of Lain overlayed throughout. I've always wanted to make a Lain video(it's my favorite anime after all), but I never could find a decent song to fit the mood/idea I wanted. I think this MAD is the perfect medium to get my Lain ideas out there. I just couldn't do with strictly an AMV evidently. So I announce to you Unite. I will take 'Connected' by Ayumi Hamasaki, and place images of Lain over a background made from clips of Lain. Maybe I can get something up and running tomorrow night after work, at least get some images of Lain pulled off the discs. It's going to be stressful seeing how my only day off of work in the next 2 weeks is Christmas day. That is going to be one lovely paycheck though...
I'm not too sure about setting up an FTP, so I guess I'll just have to hang out and wait for the NES project to debut. As fast as the end of this year is going, the next AWA will be here in no time...^_^
So then, I have quite a bit of ripping to do. All 4 Lain DVDs need to be ripped to my harddrive AGAIN. I had them there for almost this entire semester, but no video idea every came to me. I just deleted all the VOBs the other day, so now I must rip them again....

WinMX can be such a pain sometimes. I have about 10 MADs trying to download, and none of them will connect. They've been at it for a few days now, and the only 2 that have finished are Monochrome, and EternalDreamS2. How am I supposed to learn this new style if nothing will ever connect...
Perhaps I should take this as a sign to make mine the way I THINK they work. But considering I've only seen 2 MADs throughout my entire life, I don't really know what is considered good and bad. I don't want to bust into the scene with a MAD equivalent of a linkenball Z vid....
The Key: The Metal Idol DVD is pretty good. It's one of my favorites. I love the menus, and background music of them. I think it's my favorite DVD. Not the anime, but the actual DVD itself. The box art, menus, etc...
Key also has my favorite opening to an anime. I love the theme, and editting of the intro. It reminded me quite a bit of Lain's opening, which used to be my favorite, followed closely by Ranma's opening. That Ranma song is just awesome....^_^'
Anyways, I'm heading off to work with hopes that at least one of my MADs will finish dl'ing before I make it back....

Somebody had dropped the ball big time on my Comp 14 grade. I finished with a B-.....

I HATE EVERYTHING!!!!
Sorry, but needed to vent after spending about over an hour trying to get through stage 3A of Shinobi on Hard. Those little dogs don't play around. Those fast little bastards........
Finally got past though, and finished with a B ranking. Not to bad I guess...
I got an A in my japanese class, and a B in my math class. My programming and Art class grades haven't been posted yet. I just had my Art final this morning. Talk about bombing a test, I didn't know ANYTHING on it. I'm just glad that I never have to think about that class again, whether I pass or fail it doesn't matter to me as long as I never have to take it again. My programing grade should be up tonight, and my Art grade should be within 72 hours........
Still working on concepts for my first MAD. I've found the song, and characters I would like to use. Now I just need to work on the idea behind them. With any luck I can have this ready to go before too long. I'm still currently just watching other MADs trying to get the just of this new art form, but I'll get it up and going pretty soon....
I saw where Omni uploaded a new short vid. I'm off to check it out...
