JOURNAL: Flint the Dwarf

  • 2005-06-01 16:55:55 I gave it more thought, and I suppose I'm going to try editing once I'm able to. Maybe once I get started playing around with something, motivation will hit.

Glad I got that off my chest.
  • 2005-05-19 01:54:47 So I'm sitting here at the family computer. About fifteen feet behind me is the screen door leading into the kitchen. Once you get into the kitche, the door to the porch is about eight feet to your left. Once you get to the porch, the door to the outside is about six feet straight ahead. We keep the male cats locked in the kitchen so they don't have unregulated sex. My parents got home late tonight and left the kitchen-porch door open (which they shouldn't, because we don't want the male cats on the porch late at night), and the outside-porch door unlocked.

It's getting a little stormy outside, and I imagine it's a bit windy. When there's a lot of wind, if the outside-porch door is unlocked, the wind can force it open. We don't want this because one of the male cats might be brave enough to run. So I hear the outside-porch door shut, and I get up to go shut it. After I get through the door into the kitchen, I look at the outside-porch door and it's still about a foot open and the cats are gathered around; something is stopping the door from shutting. I shut the kitchen door, and whatever was blocking the outside-porch door moved and the door shut behind it.

This scared the shit out of me. We didn't lock our doors a couple years ago, and it allowed someone to just walk in while I was the only person around. He was waiting for me in the dark. He wanted money, and it wasn't a very pleasant experience. I've often been a little jumpy around here past midnight because of it.

Even with all the doors locked, I can sneak in the house without making noise. So it's never completely safe.

But I reasoned this out. I heard the door shut once, because whatever was getting in must not be too adept at opening doors, and it failed the first time so it had to try again. We do have a few raccoons and opossums around here, and I'm pretty sure that's what it was. Even still, a hungry/rabid raccoon could've made a mess of our pretty tame cats.

Does anyone else see something horribly wrong with this banner? I don't mean the "You promised me an opinion" part either.

Saw Blade Trinity. It sucked in more ways than I thought possible.

Blade: i think i'm gonna kill you with my sword, dude
Dracula: maybe but i think it is i who will kill with my sword YOU instead of that way which i don't want it to be... HERE CATCH THIS BABY
