Real quick: my long-time friend Devin asked me about moving to Florida a week or so ago, where he has relatives that would be able to support him/us until he/we get a job. This is all well and good. Devin said he think we could get into pool/boat cleaning, since a lot of people down there (by the beach) have boats and/or pools.
Some update on the Florida deal, but some background info first:
Devin: The friend that's moving to Florida.
Gavin: My brother, who is a friend of Devin's through me.
Ryan: Devin's brother, Gavin's friend, and my friend through Gavin. Living with Devin in Minnesota.
The short of it all: I found out soon after Devin asked if I was interested moving down there that Devin hadn't asked Gavin, or told Gavin that he'd asked me. But before Devin moves, he had to be sure his brother Ryan would be able to continue paying rent without him. I have not yet said anything to Gavin about Devin approaching me about Florida. Ryan calls today and asks Gavin if he wants to move down to Minnesota since Devin's moving to Florida. This somehow seems very strange, yet very right. We're basically switching brothers for friends. I am very much in favor of this deal, and I hope Devin meant it when he asked me about Florida.
Seeing as how I'm not sure how serious Devin was, I am still looking for a job around here. - 2005-03-14 22:11:48 And Ari, my condolences. Losing a pet always sucks, and I imagine it's even worse when it's all your company.
