  • Lots of downloads, codecs, and what to work on next.... 2004-05-26 14:48:41 I'm pretty psyched that Girl Crazy has already been downloaded over 65 times and it's only been available for about 14 hours. Hopefully, everone is enjoying it. I can't seem to list the Microsoft Windows Media Video 9 codec that I used for it under the codec section, so I'm going to have to play around a bit. Apparently, one person I know can play the DivX codec that I used while testing the codecs, but can't play this version. So It's a bit of a priority for me to get that figured out and listed. The WMV9 codec gave me a nicer picture that can easily be played at 200% size for me without the pixelation that DivX showed already at that size, plus it was only half the file size, so I really hope the codec will work for most viewers. If I wasn't worried about eating up all of Ashley's bandwith, I'd love to just post the 19 MB .mpg copy of it. I'll keep working on it to find the best solution.

    I'm already trying to decide what to work on next. I primarily do videos in the Harry Potter fandom under a different username, but I first started out with AMVs several years ago and am really enjoying working with anime videos again. Originally I only had Dazzle MovieStar, so I'm in heaven with all the new effects and sound options available to me with some of the new software that I have. I've been considering remastering a couple of my old completed works. They're much larger files, and I'll have to see what I can swing about making everything available. Other than that, I have a few more Slayers ideas, a Please Save My Earth idea, and a song that is desperately looking for the right anime for me to do it. Maybe then I'll feel focused enough to go back and do a few more of the zillion HP based videos that I've got on my "to do" list.
