  • Everyday is Iron Chef now 2013-03-24 17:45:44 So that's it... well it's not really finished, but it is in some beginning of a status. Finally I am a professionel editor. With "pro" I mean: you can make a living of it.

    Since Monday I am part of a local TV station as editor, cameraman and "that guy who can fix it". I just realised later that I actually am now where I wanted to be many years ago. It made me think about how it's not really important to me anymore. I make money in the media biz since many years.

    Oh I am still excited! It's cool to work in a TV station with some sort of 8000 bucks iMac. The techincal infrastructure is gorgeous. Even if they've told me that it is far from perfect. I create about 6min of content per workday. That includes a mastered video that you can air.

    If I cut videos for the daily news mag, than it's Iron Chef all day. You need about 2 hours for a 1:30 min clip.

    Working as editor is cool. I'm just surprised how fast I got into the Final Cut 7 hotkeys. I think I will change the layout in my private Premiere Pro.  
  • Blitz-project! 2013-02-27 11:29:38 I possibly have a job as video cutter at a local small tv channel. I have to prove myself. Time to fresh up my Final Cut 7 knowledge.

    This call for a quick blitz project. Yeah... xD

    It won the Viewers Choice Award at the JapanCity AMV contest in Vienna.

    "The Legend of Ziegenpeter & Alm-Öhi" is already online after taking premiere at the Japan City 2013 AMV contest today. It's a comedy video with german hip hop. The highly bases on the lyrics. Just a little disclaimer :D

    I always priortize a full proper AMV release on the amv.org before some quick and dirty YouTube release. However I have to work fast on my bachelor thesis until Monday. The screening room of the Japan City amv contest was suboptimal. So I wanted to publish this as soon as possible for all those who couldn't see it. It's better than someone else uploading it "for me" on YouTube =/

    I really apologize for this quick and dirty release that emphasizses quantity over quality. A full quality amv.org release with proper forum thread and announcement will be out on Monday. Well anyway:
