Guess which program i've just deinstalled yesterday? Dota 2. Why? Because it was this stupid view-only client where you can only spectate games and not play them. So I deinstalled it. I got fed up with it. Teasing me all the time with little updates on Steam.
What now? Two awesome time consuming games. I'm about to start a new relationship and have to write my bachelor thesis and than those two games come along?

I got an amazing AMV idea. It makes me so exciting and it's so damn easy to execute! All I need are a maximum of 8 hours editing time. The problem?
It's 2 am... I have to sleep, but I can't sleep because I'm full of adrenalin now.
I hope procastination won't be a problem tomorrow. I really have to do this video. It's a simple idea, but so god damn effective. =/ -
So different! Altering ideas while watching your footage

AMVs is all about editing and found footage. You just don't create content by yourself. You create context via cuts and fx, but's pretty much it.
In film I create everything by myself. From scratch. There is hardly any found footage. The only thing that alter my idea are budget cuts and technical issues, but that's it.
So I have an AMV idea with a specific song for quite some time and I thought about tackling the idea and get it started. I grab animes that would fit the theme and idea.
I also write down timecodes and scenes while watching them. The thing is that my idea gets altered and changed with every anime I watch. I have to adopt to the scenes that the anime provides me. It's some sort of evolution or dialog. The final product is way different than the initial idea. That makes the whole progress of creating an AMV quite exciting.
I think trying to pull of a theme or storyline with animes that you don't know yet is somehow more interesting than retelling that you already saw in an anime before. Though there is nothing to look down on. Everything can be equally exciting, skillful or hard. For me this specific creating process is exciting right now. Let's see how it turns out.
I feel like a bit of an elitist. I dismiss sources because they are not available as 1080p. That makes me probably a bad artist right now... I shouldn't do that. Full hd has no value in this project. It's pure prestige and a bonus for me and the audience.

Spawning Stanc Alone Complexes

My latest video is getting symbolic and is spawning Stand Alone Complexes (watch GITS: Sac for the therm "Stand Alone Complex"). People reupload it on YT after the takedown by UMG. There are also accounts that are purely created for that AMV-upload only.
You guys are amazing! Keep spreading that video! People want to watch it on YT and I've got no way to give it to them. I depend on you.
