I haven't posted here in a while, eh?? Guess I got nothing to really blab about in the AMV world.
Man did last night suck at TKD. We had a student fall and dislocate his kneecap, so us blackbelts got to hold him down and attempt to pop it back in. However, we couldn't get it back in so we had to call an ambulance and he had to go to the hospital. I wish Mr. Emmons would have been there. He is a physical therapist and has more than happily popped my joints back into place on numerous occasions. He hasn't been to class lately though, not since before Christmas I think, and that is really not like him.
Anyways, James said he's going to come over and see me tomorrow night! XD!! I have to email him directions. I'm so happy now I finally get to see him, then I get to play dress-up and get him into a killer Tidus costume. *_* Ultimate goal...^_^ Anyways, I don't know what we are going to do actually, probably just hang out at my place and talk all night. That's what I'm usually good for anyway. We shall see, ne? -

I'm tired, as usual. Happy Hump day everyone. @_@ I have to go into work at 3:30 today, so much for relaxation when I get home from class.
I haven't been posting here as much as I used to, I know. But I have been having some issues going on in my real life (and Live Journal for that matter, if any of you actually keep up with that.) that I had to take care of.
Basically I was accused of stealing one of my friend's layouts, which I didn't, he just had nothing to bitch about I think. he even went to the length of exploiting this around the net: http://kaousuu.net/ripoff.jpg
That takes gall if you ask me...Or just someone with no life. Well, a whole heated ordeal occurred on my Live Journal where I was slandered by him and others who remained "Anonymous" while posting. I was told that my webpages and music videos sucked, and that hard work doesn't equal good work in my case. (And I just put it nicely, what they said was dead horrible.) My cosplay was also degraded. It really upset me, and I was almost on the verge of pulling my sites from the web. Luckily I had friends that stood up for me and put these people in their place. It really makes me fortunate that I have friends like that...Especially when others turned against me over the littlest thing. -

Oh yeah, did I mention that my videos didn't even show at Megacon??? They ran out of time so they only showed like...10 videos and the 7 winners, that was it. ~_~
I feel so loved...But that's ok, you'll see, I will kick major ass at Jacon...I got plans...MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!! Oh the mind boggles... -
Megacon Review

Yo yo yo, I'm back from Megacon and had a rather shitty weekend care of the weather. :P Nothing worse than trying to get to the convention center WITHOUT getting wet in your costume. ~_~ Here is the review ala Ang...Caution it's long...
I didn't really accomplish anything this weekend...No art was sold, no music video made it into the showing. >< And the costume ended up being a close runner's up according to the judges that told me after the contest. If I wouldn't have presented it so early on I probably would've gotten an award. But Nicole told me that they just ran out of awards to give. The competition was stiff, there were a lot of very nice costumes this year.
Over all, I was not impressed with Megacon at all. Supposibly last year it was larger and in the center hall of the center, but this year it was pushed all the way to the end and was forced to share the space with the TKD US Open (All of my teammates LOST too. ;_;) And a huge photography/digital imaging convention that literally took up half the OCCC, easy.
I went and saw Kevin Smith's panel today, he's a really cool guy and funny as hell. Unfortunately, I was unable to get his autograph because the session was capped at 150 people. When the line went down, a volunteer let a few of us in, but then we got ripped a new asshole by another volunteer for sneaking in. So that pissed me off. At least I got to be near him and look at him and Rain got pics so its all good. ^_^
Our Misfits costumes today were a HUGE hit. I was glomped so much in the dealer's room that the flower fell out of my Stormer wig! It's really neat though that people recognized us.
I had a bishounen weekend too. *_* Though I broke up with Brad on Saturday, it was a good break up, we decided it was for the best because of the distance and because he had found someone over in Melbourne. That makes me feel a lot better. I know that he isn't upset. Ok, back to the bishies: I got to meet Ken Kun and Shin. *_* Wow they are so cool. (And cute too!!) I hope I get to see them again REALLY soon. ^_~
Total Weekend Summary:
Friday: Bad Traffic @_@ Took 3 HOURS from St. Pete to Orlando, that should take just a little over an hour normally...Damn rain. So we arrive at 4, register, I skip around in my catgirl seifuku costume and get a fanboy following. I saw the first two eps of the X TV series, WOW it is sooooo good and just like the manga too. We ended up going back to the hotel and I changed and went down to the US Open to watch some of the competition. Then I went back and caught up with Rain and had a nice talk walking back to the hotel. We met some fanboys in the hotel with us that were pretty sloshed but a lot of fun none the less. So I hung out with them for a chunk of the evening. Then we watched some DVDs, went for a walk, then came back and went to sleep.
Saturday: That was contest day, so I mainly stayed in the convention center and hung out in my costume. I couldn't really do anything since people were stepping on my dress. ~_~ Inconsiderate people. After the costume contest I went upstairs with Maboroshi and he did a shoot of me in my costume since he missed me all day somehow. Soooo when those pics come out on Rising Sun they aren't of me in my prime on Saturday....I was dog tired. Then after that I went back to the hotel, changed, and went back up to the center to watch the music videos and got mondo pissed because they didn't even show mine. Then I went out to dinner with the Wasabi crew and had a good time...That's when I realized that I was catching a cold. ~_~
Sunday: Got up somewhat early to finish the costumes since Rain crashed the night before instead of finishing them. At least they looked good, we still rocked. We went to Kevin Smith's comic panel about the Green Arrow and I was in total awe of all the talent up there, I wish I could've met them all. Then after that was the whole autograph session catastrophe. *curses a blue streak at that volunteer.* By that time I wasn't feeling hot at all, but I wasn't going to pay $2.50 for a bottle of soda, fuck no. So we sent a kid to fetch us food. I was in and out of the dealer's room all day and scored a gorgeous Dir En Grey poster, some DeG pics and a Malice pic, and a copy of Battle Royale! *_* I can't wait to watch that!!!!!!!!!! We left around 6:30 and that was that.
