Bear is driving? How is this possible?

Koop: I've been rewatching it over the past week or two, and I really have come to think that the video's basic concept(song 'n footage) is quite strong. I think that the usage of the effects takes the focus away from the "dreaming" angle, but it's your decision to go that route.
Now, the people complaining of their need to "measure up to it" still do annoy me, however.
Rozard: I think these logs explain all about "yo'mama".

Maybe my fuddy-duddyness is showing, or maybe because I see industry motion graphics all the time, or maybe because I haven't seen Rahxephon, but "Euphoria" didn't make much of a dent on me.
Seriously.
Maybe it's because of years of watching, but I agree with Rozard's mom--the last 30 seconds is all I remember from the video, as opposed to the previous three minutes of frantic motion graphics and speed-cuts. I did club posters like that for several months, before a graphic-designer friend set me straight. Subtlety, children, subtlety.
"Only" messing around with dissolves? A certain master with the initials of K.C. seems to have made his mark with only a handful of video tricks, and a lot of great ideas. I'll gladly stand up and say that carrying an idea to an emotionally satisfying conclusion is harder for me, than any amount of technical fortitude.
Oh, but wait. I haven't completed any videos for years, so my opinion is automatically null-and-void. Right, I'll make a note of that.
In other news: Dead LCD projectors, Lightwave, and Sakura Con, oh my. Where's my bag of throwable popcorn?

The video idea self-destructed about two weeks ago. But you probably knew that.
El Secreto Projecto for UT2k3 is being worked on instead, with the design document ready for private viewing by the end of the day. But you probably didn't know about that.
I'm off to the local comics convention; mostly only to check out the Penny-Arcade Booth, and to ogle Transmet artist Darick Robertson. But you probably didn't care about that.

It's roughly 22 days until the various Sakura Con deadlines.
In this apartment there are three-fourths of Boogiepop, a spanking-new copy of Vegas Video, and a six-and-a-half-pack of beer.
It's dark, and I don't own any sunglasses.
Hit...something.

"punk has gone soft since NOFX, that's why we have the underground indie bands at the warped tour."
And not a single mention of Joe Strummer. I need to go out and look for a copy of Combat Rock now.
And I've also discovered that it's not a good idea to break out of a deep-coding session, run to the bus to catch the party, find out that it's pseudo-formal, and stare down at the Rico's pub shirt I have on. At least I got to dance with pretty ladies in Catholic schoolgirl outfits, but I could have sworn I saw people pointing and laughing out of the corner of my eye. Nuts to them.
