Movie could have been better, but it was awsome still!
Although I thought that Daredevil the Movie was an average movie almost all of the way around, I thought that there were many parts where they could have made it much better as well as much worse in places.
Let me first start with the bad points i have with the movie. As a comic book fan I was hoping for an out of this world movie with the story line they had to work with, but what did I get? A movie that was not very well developed nor too much of a plot. The movie writers also left out alot of developing dialog that I thought would have helped non-comic fans understand the movie a little bit more. I thought that even though they made it the scene like Matt Murdock's life, I thought it was a little over done, dark, angry, frustrating, and almost scary as well. There was also the little thing of having Elektra die off way too early, especially if they are to make a sequel. I also thought that there were too few and too short action-fighting scenes for a good comic-action movie such as Daredevil.
Now on to the good points. I thought all the casting for this movie was perfect, Ben Affleck played the perfect blind hero, Jennifer Garner played a stunningly beautiful as well as action-oriented Elektra, Collin Farrell pulled off the sadisticly evil villian quite well, while Michael Clarke Duncan had an uncanny resemblence of the large and over-powering Kingpin. The rest of the cast did quite well as well. While the fight scenes were not as plentiful and long as Spiderman I thought for what they had were well planned out and well performed. Another thing, the filming crew and the special effects crew did an awsome job was with Matt Murdocks' sight with his sound as a radar and when rain hits an object. And the soundtrack for this movie is not "Rote new material from Nickelback, Hoobastank, Fuel, the Calling, Seether, Saliva and other miserable but shameless copycats suggests the new-grunge glut has finally passed its expiration date" as Rolling Stone Magazine quotes. I think that they picked a well rounded crew for the music who did a suprisingly awsome job on most of the songs, a few weren't up to par, but the rest are on my frequent listening list on Winamp. My two favorites are "Won't Back Down" by Fuel and "Sad Exchange" by Finger Eleven. To all who care, which proably won't be many, my band will be performing those two soon. Once we have them recorded I will post them on my website. http://www.angelfire.com/film/blackdawnstudios
Now on to what I think they could have improved on this movie and what they can improve to make the sequel a movie to remember. DO NOT rush your movie, this made for a confusing unnatural sort of feeling. Put in more fight scenes, even though Matt Murdock is blind he is your hero, use him. If at all possible do not have Elektra die in the first movie, have the sequel start with him finding her in the hospital recouperating. This will make for a better story line. Also even though he wasn't in many of the comics I think they should put in Nicholas Fury as a friend/side-kick when Daredevil is going to have his ass handed to him on a platter, he should come and help out. Even though The Matrix and it's sequels are going to be good, I think that they chose a well rounded superhero for Daredevil, while they put weak-looking Keanu Reeves as the man to save man-kind as we are lead to know it, they did not do this with Daredevil, they choose a muscular looking Ben Affleck who fit the part very well. I also thought that Joe Pantoliano had a great part, but using him as a familiar-faced villian would have done quite well also. Not saying that his part was not played well, which it was. Also I think that Elektra/Jennifer Garner is hot as hell with her hair, isn't Elektra supposed to be bald?

First time using it, felt intrigued.

Hey all AMV users, this is Mike of Black Dawn Studios. I was just watching "Are You Hot?" and I felt really bad for this one guy because he didn't have perfect teeth and the judges kept trying to get him to open his mouth, and then they made fun of his imperfect teeth. But now on to lighter subjects. I am going to go see Daredevil tomorrow, I will write an entry on that. I think I will be getting some good insight on a new music video even if it isn't anime. Now that I am getting pretty good at using Adobe Premiere I think I might start to make my videos a little bit more interesting with new transitions and croping of videos. A good friend of mine Tyler is going to teach me how to use all of the analog video equipment at our school, I am thrilled. Even though our school is going broke I think that we have one of the most complete selection of video editing equipment in the state. And to think I am going to learn how to use all of it! I think once I learn how to use all of it I think that I might start to stray away from the music part of music videos and start to make some comedies. I don't know how I will work it on this site but I will try to post new ones often, I might make a series. If anyone has any good plot lines e-mail me.
Mike
