DNII: Back In Business

Ugh. I have had 0 TIME to update this, and almost less to watch any vids. The first day I got local d/l access I watched... wow, i dont know. A lot. I hit all of the ones in Phade's list, then did some exploring on my own. I've found that I dont like to leave ops for vids that have like 200 or more... and much less so for people who dont leave any. I will not leave an op for any creator who doesnt feel the need to leave any for others. That just doesnt seem right to me.
However! On the brighter side. I learned sooooo much from waching, especially Proxy's... more than enough to help me make the one I'm working on better. Speaking of improvement, as soon as I regained the ability to spend some quality time on my computer (Grapes of Wrath reading for AP Eng took FOREVER) I jumped on Premiere and had some fun with the Red vs. Blue webseries (RVB is a parody series off of the Halo computer game, it's EXCELLENT), so kept what skills i have in that dept. in tact. Then I tweaked my copy of XP a little bit; happy with it now (for the most part), but still need to speed up boot time... then finally I did some conditioning in Photoshop, the result of which is now on my profile. Lets see... I took that Hibiya pic and gave her shades, added one-touch switches to give her a santa hat (layer visibility), and made it so I can change the hue of her dress to whatever color I want. I would have cut out her skirt so I can do them seperately, but then i'd have change _both_ hues... so yeah. Back on the Org now, finally, MUAHAHA!

Now THAT is wicked timing. Look at that! PRECISELY 10 hours to go! WITHOUT TRYING! muahaha... *timefiend*

YES! Got my Mocha frap.... muahhaha. Just in time, too... I have 2 days to read this 600-something page novel for my english class (grapes of wrath) before local downloads are activated. go caffiene!
...unfortunately, I also have 2 other books to read plus 100 pages and 6 packets of history data to acquire. The year hasnt even started and AP already sucks.
Then I have networking stuff to study, and the compTIA A+ computer certification...
But heck, AMVs and Premiere first! It's all good!
...oh, and by the way. I have to look up a "Taco Bell Grilled Steak Commercial" amv for Trigun. It's on the kazaa grid, but the bandwidth sucks so I can't download it. How do you make an AMV from a commercial???? This I must see.

Geez, so much has happened in the past few days... been finding just enough time to get in some premiere work, letting the knowledge set, then working on it again. And... and and and......... I STILL HAVE YET TO GET A FRAPPUCCINO! OMG! its been like 3 WEEKS since i had one, and i've wanted one ever since. CAFE LATTE WOOOT
And discovering the hidden secrets of classicalinstrumentalacoustic music, too. My friend sent me an acoustic version of Numb by linkin park... normally its like typical linkin, but when its on the piano its soooo pretty! This could come in very handy indeed. I need to look into piano music. Maybe i'll check the forums to see if there's nething.
Vid is 2 min long, but having weird technical problems that I have to figure out how to fix... like when I stretch something out, the whole scene shakes for some reason. I tried de-interlacing it but to no avail, turned on "smart resize" and still no help. I applied the blur filter to it and that ironed it out a little bit, but I lost the crystal-sharpness that I had before. Must figure this out.
but HAPPY because local downloads will be enabled in either 2 or 3 days!!!! YES!!! time to do RESEARCH!!!! Muahahaha... and leave ops of course, lol. Ok, that about does it for this entry. Back to the labs.

I spent the first half of the day working on an amv/learning to use Premiere. I would have spent more, but one of my friends dragged me off to go help him design a computer. But! we're almost done, then back to AMVing! muahaha.
I think this is actually turning out rather good for my first AMV. Dude, strangeness: this system's optical drive can read a dvd that like 3 other computers declared "corrupted". What's up with that? It's cool, yes, but seriously, what's up with it? Premiere can't read some of the files, true, but it can read most as well as the drive.
...ugh. this sucks. Friend that wants comp help is looking for a socket 478 motherboard with pci express... _he_ doesnt need it, but the person he's building it for allegedly does... but the only ppl we can find so far that make those are ECS, one of the grand high worst motherboard companies in the world... *rolls eyes*
anyway. PHOTOSHOP! MUAHHAHAHA I learned how to integrate them! that means my PS skills can help my developing premiere ones! only one problem though... i'm trying to figure out how/why I get heavy frame-shaking whenever i use that one tool to stretch a frame (that tool that looks like this: ~|~ ). The whole screen like shakes. Why? I dont know. I have to find out. Neway, back to research and development... ciao ciao!
oh, btw. DVD contained downloaded footage in avi format, but it was 640x480. resized it to 1/4 original, looks perfect. I don't know if one is _supposed_ to do this, but it looks as good as other footage I've seen... but then again, as of yet I have an untrained eye.
