Diary of a Newbie: Part II

Huh... Premiere isn't so bad, once you get to know it. My friends are all like "oooh God, Premiere, its sooo hard to use..." Granted, it's the only program i've ever had to use the help files on, but it doesnt seem _that_ complex. It's got a definate photoshop feel to it, that's for sure.
...okay fine, so it took me 3 hours to figure out how to use the transitions correctly. But hey, learn once and you never have to do it again, right?
I have to go through what I have of Chobits and extract all the Dark footage. There's only like 15 minutes of it... wait no. 15 minutes would be plenty. try 3. And a half.
Lol oh well... once I get it done (_dvd_-rip, of course), I'll probably burn a CD of it all. I'll have to put it at like the highest quality possible so it'll fill up at least 200 megs.
That sounds worse the more I think about it.
Hhaha in any case, back to studying AMVs (grrr still can't d/l local yet) and toying with the software... I actually managed to create the quarter-decent start of an AMV! w00t! -

...Dude.
The "Upgrade" brought me up to more power than I ever dreamed.
I now have the capability to develop, to study, to learn... THE TIME HAS COME!!!!
Huh.
On a minor note, I evacuated the last few of my files approximately 10 minutes before the secondary hard drive they were housed on failed.
...and I lost my AMV cutsheet.
But hey! I was starting to have second thoughts about it anyway. Remember what I said about "proofreading" it? Well, it didnt come out looking so good... but I learned a heck of a lot just from that. I guess if I really wanted to, I could try to reconstruct it... I have a little bit over half on hardcopy, so I could sorta try to fill in the blanks... but yeah, it wasnt really that good to start off with, lol.
I also have this uber-advanced, way-too-hard-for-me idea that would take like all the photoshopping skills I've accumulated in my lifetime... and Dark Chii footage. All the Dark Chii footage I can find, and probably some not-quite-but-close-enough-when-encoded clips too. But again, nowhere NEAR good enough to do that yet.
My last AMV idea (there were 3) perished in what will be called the 2004 Final System Failure (I name all my huge crashes, lol), but I remember it in here *taps head*.
Hahaha but now that its over, its kinda cool... it's like "Oh shoot shoot corrupted disk... BURN FILES NOW!" *burning*... *burning complete*CD-ROM EJECT*........ *secondary drive-hosted firewall failure*reboot*

So, yes. Very very happy. and now, STAGE 2 OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SHALL COMMENCE! -

No... yes! Could it be... *gasp* AN UPGRADE?!!?!?!?!??!?!
If fry's still has some of their motherboard/CPU combo packs, biiig chance of me getting one... TOMORROW! This means I can actually TINKER with VIDEO SOFTWARE! Muahahahah... Ok say for example its a middle-aged mmm... 1.6ghz processor. That would be 4x the speed of this system... and it would be enough to start working w/software, and d/l vids without resizing my screen!!!
(Yes, I know how sad this is.)
But the Era of the 400mhz K6-3D is coming to an end soon... sooooon........ *crosses fingers* Perhaps I will be entering the production scene sooner than expected, after all!

YES! DONE! FINISHED! Muahha... 3 pages of lyrics, times, and notes, and my first cutsheet is DONE! Now i just have to go back over it and work out the bugs... but first I think i'll either photoshop something or watch some more AMVs.
But DONE! And ALL FROM MEMORY! w00t!
Hey, i've got a question for y'all. Winamp is a much more efficient program than Windows Media Player... so why does it play vids slower than WMP, when it requires less resources to run? Maybe WMP preloads more than Winamp, but I wouldn't know... just a stray thought, hahaha. -

It's about 10 secs after midnight here, so HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!! hahaha why I am up and surfing the forums at 4th of July midnight, I don't know. Maybe my doctor's right, maybe I really _am_ crazy...
psh. nah. I'm not crazy... just a little unwell, thats all. I know, right now you cant tell, but... *shrugs* stay a while, and maybe then you'll see a diff side of me.
