  • Progress has begun.... 2002-06-02 03:07:53 Since my friend finally returned all of the DVD's he borrowed, I began work on the vid on Thursday. Up to this point on Saturday night, I've progressed rather well. I was able to find an alternate approach to getting the clips directly off DVD's (The method suggested by the AMV.org guide gave me trouble) without sacrificing much resources nor quality. It isn't to its maximum, but they do look rather good. Considering that this song is only about one minute, ten seconds long, it shouldn't take much time to really finish this vid. However, due to the several upcoming tasks and events (less than 2 weeks of school left, 3 projects to do, etc.), I may not be able to actually work on this much depending on how much I can get done with my other tasks on head. Still, I see a good future to this vid. A definite improvement from my first vid (total crap, as I've told myself several times).

ADP last night was all good. More KOR, ACC, Harlock, Guu (rather odd show), Ceres and the final three Trigun episodes. Doesn't get much better than that (well, maybe it does, but still! It was indeed good) Only one more showing left for this year, which quite saddens me. I'll have to wait until late august/september to resume attending....

  • Gah, nuts to the system.... 2002-05-25 23:37:13 Oy, work on my RK vid can begin very soon or in a while, depending on two conditions: (1) A friend of mine returns the DVD's he's been borrowing from me, which'll probably be on tuesday, and (2) If I can get this processing of VOB conversion and manipulation in Premiere. Guides aren't quite as complete as you'd like them to be....

Excel Saga's episode involving rock musicians is hilarious......yet amazingly disturbing at the same time ^_^
  • Ah, yes, one more day..... 2002-05-23 21:47:53 A few things to note:
First, Tomorrow is friday, which always looks good for me. School lasts all day technically, but half of it is spent doing what we call an "extravaganza", therefore, I can just sit on my ass or have fun at it, whichever I prefer at the moment.

Last tuesday, I acquired GTO #2 and Gundam 0083 #3, both which have been delightful. GTO has provided many more laughs and has given me a new view on what potential anime still has in being original. Gundam 0083...well, this series is an example of why I like mecha series as well as UC Gundam (as opposed to AU/AC). This basically makes my anime DVD collection to about 55 or so. A lot of money, but well spent in my opinion, especially in comparison to what I've spent on in the past.

My DVD-rom is to arrive by tuesday, definitely, if it does not already reach my front door tomorrow.

Rhino 3d is a fun program to work with. Modelling a VF-1A from Macross is rather difficult, especially for a novice such as myself. The end result is a basic copy of it, but lacking many small details. Perhaps I'll improve upon it sometime in the future.

  • Crap weekend....I guess` 2002-05-20 00:52:12 Oy, not much to mention on a positive note...I really wish I could have gone paintballing on my friend's property today, however, not many people were able to come.....I had to sit around with people I didn't know in a party....etc...

I also just got finished seeing Star Wars Episode II. Mixed feelings, though I must say it 'twas precisely 7,058,037 times better than Episode I. Even on its own, it was pretty good. Though I must truly mention I could have pulled a better script out of my @$% for most of the romance scenes, aka any scene involving Anakin. I'll leave it at that. Kinda slow for first hour, but really gets a jump start later in the film. I truly enjoyed the connections though, that they meade between Boba/Janga Fett, the Clone army, as wella as the character development that Anakin goes through, whcih as we all know, will lead to his dark future. Again, I could have written better script for Anakin, and directed it better (I'm feeling rather egotistical right about now), but hell, that's the world about now.

Nothin' more, simply another week of school to start....
  • Nearing the end....Still much to do.....so little time 2002-05-14 18:04:39 It's been a few days since I last updated my journal entries. Nothing much going on at this point except the usual (yeah, as if 5 projects and more is usual...). I ordered a DVD-rom yesterday which should arrive in a week or so. DVD-quality clips for my AMV's shall soon be mine! bwahahahahhh! ..............*ahem*......

Production of my next AMV and parody vid shall commence soon.
