  • Slowly progressing....Summer days passing 2003-06-25 19:05:01 Not much done today, just felt like watching last few episodes of Helling dubbed (I mus say, by the end of the series, I'm quite impressed the way the english VA's have lived up to being an equal to the Japanese VA's, even surpassing them in some cases), filled out and returned a few job applications, and then sat around the house, doing nothing. Ah, summer, how lovely are thou.....
  • AMV creator's block raging on... 2003-06-24 00:11:41 It certainly doesn't help to have this damn block on, with this amv I'm working on....more procrastination comes...

I just watched the Hulk today in theaters (free, btw, take THAT overpriced ticket venders!). After reading opinions of other people on forums, I've come to the judgement that it wasn't all too bad. Certainly some flaws, but definitely worthy of being a Superhero movie. No Kirsten Dunst in wet T-shirt or half-annoying supervillain, nor teenage love story, so it goes good in my book. A little long intro, but character development is good.

Well, the beta forums for WCIII:Frozen Throne has gone to hell. No use in going there anymore....Oy, speaking of which, I don't know how I'm gonna come up with the money for the retail next week.

  • meh, I finally came around to it 2003-06-17 00:08:24 Fine then, I spent $3.75 of my precious follars to rent one of the Esca dvds. I'll grab what clips may be of use to me for this amv, then return the damnable thing. ^_^ With all this free time I have, I hope the inspiration really comes through in the next few days. Frankly, I don't feel like spending weeks on this amv, as I'm afraid any inspiration and effort will be lost through procrastination and unnecessary elongation (is that a word? bah, screw it, it is now).

On somewhat the same note, I find it amazing and yet overwhelming how good and consistent many AMV creators are with their works. Seeing how professional many have become in recent times kinda raises a bar of expectation and standard that is difficult for any to live up to in amvs. Then again, no one goes from A to F without the middle points, so I suppose it's a matter of practice, like everything else. Perserverence will do something for me.
  • Damn the economy...Damn it all!!! 2003-06-16 13:07:17 Oy, my goddamn job at the moment is giving me almost zero hours to work, and that won't be sufficient with the many things I need to pay off and save for. Unfortunately, finding another job is becoming a challenge since so many positions are being filled up.

Summer's been rather...not boring, but simple. Just relaxing, playing some Enemy Territory online, finishing up Final Fantasy Origins, reading a chapter or two out of Shadow Puppets. I have yet to find some way of getting the Escaflowne dvds for AMV's without having to buy them, or for that matter, spend any money.
  • Dude, it's over... 2003-06-08 13:57:49 Oy, it's quite amazing. Graduation ceremonies were last night, and then our "last blast" together as a class at a water park at night was definitely fun. It's almos depressing to think that my HS days are all over. I'll be missing many. There will always be the memories, however. Those will certainly remain with me in my heart.

Well, back to amv's, I'll be starting on my Escaflowne vid whenever I can get access to volumes 4-8 on dvd without having to spend any money buying or renting 'em. I hope to make this video one worthy to send into conventions and such.
