Valentine's Day
2002-02-18 10:49:29
Valentine's Day was pretty interesting. All these people giving each other balloons, chocolate, roses, and what not. I decided to take a different approach. For my first period and last period classes, I showed an AMV, while giving all the ladies chocolate to munch on while watching the video. Just thought I'd say that to introduce a new concept of using AMVs if you didn't know... ^_^
The video is also now up for download finally. It's called "Love, the Ancient Emotion". It's pretty much somewhat dedicated to Valentine's Day and yet very contradicting to my DBZ videos, which are all action.
For the future, I'm hoping I can make another AMV for AnimeCentral 2002 (Due date is April 1st if anyone was interested) using an anime I've never used. Not being a very good and avid anime viewer, I guess it's not gonna be a walk in the park choosing which show to use.

A Trump Card for the FITcon?
2001-12-06 22:43:54
Well, being overly burdened by tons of projects nearing the end of this semester, I finally regained my poise and realized the FITcon is coming soon. I had 3 videos to send, but after looking at all these other awesome award-winning videos, I found that my videos don't compare even close to them. And so, in a desperate deceision, I'm hoping to squeeze in one video to replace one of my 3 and hopefully be good enough for the judges expectations. This is all I can say now for the video I'm making...
"Love Is..."
Video: Final Fantasy VIII
Music: Love Is (Vanessa Williams & Brian McKnight)
Genre: *very* serious & dramatic ^_^
And so I start on this staggering attempt while surviving through my horrid midterms and projects galore!!

And so, the long road becomes... longer
2001-11-26 21:49:04
Yet, video editing and music video making is still only a hobby, it seems my interest seemingly becomes much greater. After viewing music videos such as "Odorikuruu" and "Eden", it seems there's so much more to do. And so alas, I finally start to break away from the trials and tribulations of making action videos (though not permanently through), I look forward for making other types of videos. As of now, I've made 4 action videos and 1 serious/dramatic video. With the FITcon coming up soon, I look to try to make one last video to send in with my 2 I chose. This being my first contest, it seems I have jumped into a different league. Now not only do I have to make music videos that appeal to me, but also that appeal to the general audience. It's quite an interesting challenge and hopefully maybe by the time I graduate high school and enter college, I'll have something to keep me busy.
AMV making is quite time consuming, but if one takes it seriously and not to mention has fun with it, anyone can come up with something they can be proud of, something that shows how they interpret a song with the video.
If you're still reading this long and babbling entry, don't forget to download my new music video "Saiyan Pride" while it's still up ^_^
