JOURNAL: Devolution

  • time for more, meh...... 2002-04-04 17:56:34 today was rather strange. life decided to throw all of my past problems back at me so that i would have to deal with them all day. and then to top it all off, i locked my key in my apartment tonight. so in the -6degree celsius weather, i had to walk 6 blocks to my landlords, beg for a spare key and walk all the way back(without my coat). meh, what can you do about it? you just live and deal with it. if you don't deal with your problems, they'll come back to haunt you and later destroy you. that's my wisdom for the day. now, close your eyes, clear your mind, and contemplate further meanings for 'meh'. good luck.
  • meh, back for more 2002-04-03 23:00:50 Cshadow: good job researching 'meh' but i believe that you are mistaking the ancient egyptian word 'meh' meaning "follow the cat" for the new english version of 'meh'. but 'meh' has been around for many years and has been used by many people.

    meh, time to sleep.
  • meh, born again 2002-04-03 20:40:55 there are several more complex meaning for 'meh' but they cannot be percieved without more extensive use and a greater understanding of the word. thank you DD for bringing up that rule. i had neglected to mention it.

Pie Row Maniac: 'meh' beatings are rare but should not be ignored.

  • meh, the return 2002-04-03 19:49:13 DD: anytime you need help with proper 'meh' interpretation, just ask.

Now i shall go work on a video and hope to god that premiere doesn't screw me over again.
  • meh 2002-04-03 19:02:06 i figure that since this thing exists that i should write something in it. hence the title. for those not understanding the full meaning of the word 'meh', it can be used in several different ways. the standard meaning of 'meh' is simply "i'm bored", "i don't care" or "it doesn't really matter". but once you've learned to use it properly and how to interpret the context in which 'meh' has been expressed, you become aware of the more complex uses for the word. it can also mean "get lost", "this sucks", "i'll do it later", "don't bother me, i have better things to do", "i'm doing this because i have nothing better to do" or "not really". but the highest, most complex meaning of the word 'meh' that i have discovered is "i'm saying this to make you think that i'll do what you're asking, but in reality we both know that i'll never do it". there's my crazy explanation for this not often used word. feel free to use it as you see fit. and now you all know just how insane i really am.
