  • Do anime "gods" really exist? 2002-06-20 12:48:19 Well that's what I'm convinced of after the events of the past few days...

    Tuesday... I quickly put together a VHS for the AV CON Borders thing after several problems with "mouse on screen". However I was late to the meeting and completely missed it. So I went to AJAS and watched some Full Metal Panic, Kare Kano, Onegai Teacher, Hellsing, Vandread and I'm sure we watched something else but I just can't remember what it was.

    -Good things... Nothing!!!

    -Bad things... Missed meeting and giving the tape to the convener, also missed getting AV CON staff T-shirt.

    Wednesday... I find out that Cowboy Bebop will launch at AV CON, anyone who doesn't see it here will have to wait another month or so... the idea of advertising the launch with a Cowboy Bebop AMV was suggested (this leads to me needing to be present at Borders). As a result, the hunt for a good introduction to Bebop began.

    Good things... I still have time to redo the tape...

    -Bad things... I discover that my little sister has a party to go to and I would be dropping her off at the party while the Borders event started...

    Thursday... Not only will AV CON be launching Cowboy Bebop, but we will also be launching Love Hina. I can get the tape in to some one on Friday, or so they say. But I'm stuck being a taxi and won't be able to make it into Borders until after the first half hour...

    Now here's the wierd part...
    My little sister hands me an envelope regarding the party she had to go to... It was addressed top my Mum, but seeing as she isn't in the Country I thought I had better open it...
    I scanned the letter because it has to be seen to be beleived...

  • AV CONnection in just over a month... 2002-06-11 10:45:36 Damn hard-drive... I'm down to less than 400Mb on it... This must be how Sumomo felt in that episode of Chobits.

    Well the AV CONnection server has decided to let us in for a change. So an update on the AMV competition should be ready some time soon. Right now though we're having licensing trouble, which of course takes preference.
    If you live in Australia you'd understand that we are very deprived of anime titles.
    Persocon Girl has been delayed due to... technical... (FUCKING HD) difficulties.

    punistation: You seem to have your videos good and ready. I hope you remember to fill out that form for AV CONnection... ^_^
     
  • In a Hard-drive crisis the best thing to do is stop downloading... now is 300 Mb free really a crisis? 2002-06-03 14:30:42 Well unfortunately for me Neil "AV CONnection convener" thinks I'm doing a banged up job. As a result I'll most likely end up handling ALL of the screenings in the second theatre... I don't want to sit on my ass watching AMVs and God only knows what else... Oh well I guess it's cheaper than a movie and of course there's free coffee.

    My Chobits video is very slowly progressing... I'd give it a week or two.

    Damnit!!! I've just run out of wood for the fire.. So fucking cold!!! Damn Antarctica!

  • I'm still cold... 2002-05-31 13:30:25 AV CONnection's AMV competition is more or less fully organised except for the server denying us access, preventing updates and the like...

    I was accepted into a video production course next semester...

    And I'm really fucking COLD!!!!, damn uninsulated mid 19th century house...
    I'm actually using a wood fireplace... that's all good except for my "cave" is nowhere near it. 
  • Hmmm I think I missed a bit... 2002-05-27 12:38:35 Well, well. I haven't made a journal entry in a while... So let's breifly
    summarise...

    My car is fucked, I can't afford to get it fixed.
    I'm stuck using public transport.
    www.animespider.com has died, therefore so did all of my emails.
    I lost track of AV CON stuff as a result.
    I have the opportunity to get raw Chobits episodes for my Persocon Girl. video, but there's no way in hell I'd be able to get them on 56K and I'd be out of my mind to pay for broadband down here.
    I just finished my acting debut in a short film.
    I stuffed up a lot of editing in my Chobits video and had to start from scratch.
    I'm really behind schedule... with more or less everything.

    And it's so fucking COLD!!!!!!!!1
