I stayed at the con til 1:30 this morning. finally took off the tie and took off my jacket. much more comfy. ^o^. The cosplay was freakin hilarious and one guy even performed (i mean he actually sang the ENTIRE song) a J-Rock concert to Lucifer. He had the assistance of a female "Hide" cosplayer on guitar. they were so hot!
Afterwards i watched the Kenshin OVA and said farewell to Kendra and Rinny. Then we went out to eat at Freebirds. Best damn burritos anywhere! They kick "Toxic Hell"'s ass any day. -_^ If you haven't eaten there, you must.
At about 10:30 we came back for the dance and even grooved with some glowsticks after a few Heinekens! @_@ yeah.... ME of all people dancing like a freakin raver. somebody shoot me! after i sobered up a bit and got all outta breath, i saw EK in the hall alone. so i took the opportunity to finally introduce myself to her. she's cool and i really admire her work.
in the end (after wasting my time looking for carlos) we just went to the con suite and watched the fuckin' hilarious antics of "No Lyfe Productions". I hope these guys have some new stuff at A-Kon, they're some crazy assed comedians! that about ended it, i wasted the last of my film, my booze was wearing off and i gave up looking for people. time for sleep.
then guess what???
on i-35 right across from the campus we get passed up by 2 cruisers. and then when we pull off to the side to make way for 3 fire trucks we look to see what all the fuss is about. and straight ahead of us is a car, ON FIRE. seriously. straight outta GTA3. There's a fuckin car, on the highway, engulfed in flames. now all i can wonder is how the hell it happened?
*sigh* I guess the con is rolling to an end now. I'll stop by tomorrow for a couple hours to say some goodbyes and see a few panels but then i'm heading back home. I really wish i could've gone out around town with a few people but, oh well... there's always A-Kon. ^o^ -

He's pretty cool though i think jhis buddy frost hates me or something. *eh* Some people just aren't enjoying themeselves as much as others. I'm wearing my costume today and i can't take a five mnin break without having to stop and pose. right now i'm taking a break and dling some AMVs for my friends. we'll go back for the cosplay and the dance later. looks liek today IS a lot better tan yesterday was.
I also finally met up with my friend Rinny, Kendra and Chuck. cool that other people from SA are here. now i actually have people to talk to. I'll try and hang out with carlos later after all the crap dies down. maybe we can all go out and drink later or something... *yeah it feels good to be 21!* -_^ I only got started yesterday so i'm just gonna have to go all out tonight. tee hee.
btw: the J-pop room kicked ass and the amv showing was pretty cool. now i have to buy some j pop cds from the dealer's room. ^o^ not to mention my bebop figures and my nerv patch. and they have Pocky, but at OUTRAGEOUS prices! Mmmmmmm... beef sukiyaki for lunch/dinner. I have to eat. then get back to the con. so i'l write more later...

What did they do to Eva?!?!?! I had to cover peropero's eyes it was so atrocious. And why did i torture myself? I knew the end of eva would suck monkey balls in english but i watched it anyhow. ewwww!!! The only good dub was asuka and she sucked worse than the crappiest voice actor from the original. and the two most dramatic screams (Asuka and Shinji) were horribly mangled. oh yeah, and lets not forget that the crew at NERV now has "black men with lisps" working there. And Asuka likes to cuss in German. "Shiza!" -_^ Shinji sounded like a Backstreet Boy Reject. You know, the 16 yr old wannabe whose balls haven't dropped yet. so sad... and depressing.
I'm NOT watching eva in english, EVER.
last note: it's not eva pronounced "Ay-Vuh" anymore, it's now "Eh-Vuh".

I'll return to the con tomorrow, and i expect more dammit. much more. Right now i'm going to einstein's arcade on the drag to play the arcade version of DDR. you know, you play drunk with no mats. ^o^
carlos: nothing on the schedule about amvs at 11pm. are they really gonna be there? otherwise, i'm staying away from that hotel tonight. *sigh* -

well, I'm here now. and I stopped by the con earlier and already got an eyeFULL of anime hell. literally. I didn't know the Anthy school dress came in a 5X size, but it does apparently. -_^ oh well, such is the fear of seeing cosplayers. I'm gonna stop by later (prolly around 7pm) and see the opening ceremonies and the Eva movie *in english!*. but i fear that nothing interesting will be going on until tomorrow. Maybe I'll see a fw of you there. I'm in jeans and a grey tanktop. Just look for the pigtails and PeroPero. ^o^
Carlos: what did you do now??? i told you that lighter fluid DOES NOT go on bulidings. *sigh* these kids today... -_^

I'm heading up to Austin a little earlier than i expected. *yay!* We're leaving this morning around 10a and should get there at about 11. Then we can drag adam out to the sheraton with us to get badges etc. ^o^ I need to start packing my bag soon and make sure my costumes don't get wrinkled or anything. those damn pleats took long enough to sew and iron the FIRST time. Oh yeah, I have Bunny Ears and a poof tail for Sunday. yeah... Bunny Girls Rule! >^o^<
