It's been so long since I've visited. In fact I'm only here, because my son, who has only recently (like the past year) started getting into anime, and today an old song came up through the shuffle of my iTunes library that prompted me to say, "Hey, I made an AMV to this song!"
My son (15 y/o btw), was incredulous, "you made an AMV?"
Which is what prompted me to sit him down at my desk and show him my extremely dated and poorly edited videos. He obviously pretended to not care, but under his cold, emotionless exterior, I could tell he was impressed.

First post in like... seven years?
Anywho, for those that may remember me, I'm in the Army... and I was recently assigned a temporary duty as a Casualty Assistance Officer (CAO), which in itself could be a vent. In this duty, we have to essentially help the widow of a recently deceased servicemember (active duty or retired) get their benefits. It can be difficult, but it can also be rewarding helping them get through a their time of need.
This of course is my first ever case, turning down the street to where the house was located... only to be stopped by a fucking literal vulture ripping out the intestines of a giant rat in the middle of the road!

So my time in Korea is coming to a close, just spent the last month in field doing various "soldierly" things.
