JOURNAL: BasharOfTheAges (Justin Corriveau)

  • bleh 2011-11-22 14:07:08 Been sick for almost a week. I'm out of sick time for the year, so i'm going to work every day like this. It's making getting better even more difficult. It's just a bad cold, but I feel absolutely awful - Just want to curl up in a ball and sleep.

Still haven't started new project yet, aside from re-watching the entire (four season) series again. At least it's all ripped and encoded for me when I get around to starting it. That'll save me a week.
  • 2011-11-08 08:37:51 Wanted to start work on this new project soon and get a bunch of it done before going on vacation this December, but I was just informed that they want me to go on travel for work for the two and a half weeks leading up to my vacation. I'm almost considering getting a real full-featured laptop that I can edit with, but I can't honestly justify buying a 5th computer (6th if you count my tablet).
  • 2011-11-07 07:40:59 So, I'm about to start a new project using a show I haven't seen in a while, and a song thats almost too perfect. I decided to watch the entire show again (50+ eps) to see I'd I couldn't come up with a more concrete idea that didn't constantly shift focus like my initial concept seemed to. Somehow, it almost feels like watching the show again made the indecision more pronounced. The thematic elements of the show that male the idea of lyric sync so appealing are so often repeated in just about every character, that I could theoretically make this video 2 or 3 times completely from scratch. I feel like this video is calling for some sort of layering technique that emphasizes the parallel nature of the lyrics as they apply to the characters involved. I'm really not sure how to do that without making it all seem too busy or chaotic.
  • OW 2011-11-04 10:51:31 Twisted my ankle on some black ice, this past weekend. It's been sore all week until last night. Last night it started to really hurt instead, and it proceeded to wake me up several times. Really hurts to walk on right now... or even to move in certain, rather common, ways. No swelling though. Not sure what's up with it... but OW!
  • Brick and mortar fail. 2011-10-25 14:11:50 Stopped by Sears today while waiting for my new lenses to be put in my glasses. Decided to check out prices on 2 things I need for this new TV I bought for my bedroom - A wall mount (with swivel and extending arm) and a WDTV Live box. They wanted around $380 total ($230 + $150). Using Amazon and Monoprice, I can get both for $115 shipped ($75 + $40).
