Apparently my father decided to put the thing in standby mode, shut the cover, and unplug it instead of shutting it off like I asked - the combination of altering states so much in such a short period of time was a stress level i never put the thing through before... apparently it can't handle it. =/ - GHA!!! I hate technology today!!! 2007-08-07 19:36:42 Came home to a dead laptop with a corrupted system32 folder, Hotmail won't log me on, and I still have to deal with the bullshit of a newegg RMA for my deal desktop HDD.

Any idea what's inside your hard drives? 35-footpound rare-earth magnets. Your speakers? They have some pretty damn powerful magnets in them as well - strong enough to screw up the color on CRT monitors by redirecting the magnetic field lines that display your image. Unless your fans happen to be electromagnets like the ones that move scrap metal around in junkyards you're not going to dammage any hard drives.
- why can't i make time work for me? 2007-08-04 00:25:21 I'm here at work doing something that, for all intents and purposes, requires a few minutes of concentration every half-hour or so. I also have a list of stuff i need to (and/or would very much like to) get done this month before i have to wory about going back to school next month. What really pisses me off is the fact that i have plenty of time here where i could be getting that stuff done, but (for the most part at least) it's stuff i can't do here. I work 12 hour night shifts so my daytime activities usually including sleeping, doing housework, and attempting to have some sort of break. It's irritating as all hell to be working all the time when i'm off and essentially wasting time here at work when i'm working. Forums seem dead (all of them that i go to, not just here), and i've played more desktop tower defense than one should be allowed to play. =/
