    Finally replied to everyone who has bothered to leave me a review. I think i have procrastinated this for way too long and its onli right that I at least make an effort to reply to those kind pple who have spend their precious time reviewing my vids

    Finally uploaded the vid to BAMVC . Thanx Chojin !! Its now available for download.

    Amizadai: Thanx and i'm looking forward to ur Nausicaa vid as well. GAMBATE!!! Sephyre is starting to out-do me ( i had to consult him on Premiere rendering and effects issues) and i'm sure with ur background you can do the same.

    Finally completed the prototype for the CMIS room booking system after countless amendments and editing. What a relief, now i can relax a little and shake legs in the office. Buahaha!!! Food glorious food !! Nothing is better than snacking while you are slogging away at work. It amazing how those ladies in my office seem to come out with different types of tibits everyday.And they are really good and persuading me to eat them . Brian was a little shy about accepting their offers but i had no qualms abt it. BRING THEM ON !!! Whatever you pple can offer, i can swallow. My tummy is as big as the universe ( onli dorama fans will understand this )
    There are even stuff from Philipines , Indonesia: Peanuts, crackers and chips..even mouth-watering but guilt-inducing thickly coated chocolate bars. I was munching away all day long and there was even my fave brand of pringles....all within the vicinites of the office.

    I appreciate the time and effort you spend on every single review..including mine.
    I was duly surprised to find another English premier league fan here...a newcastle fan at that !! I would think that most pple outside england would support either Liverpool (like me) , Manchester United or ARSEnal. 
  • New vid up 2002-01-23 11:52:41 My new vid OBSESSION (doesn't that remind you of someone ?? )is finally done !!! It'll be available for download once i get it over to Chojin of BAMVC. If you can't wait...its CURRENTLY at the unsorted folder at waldo's backup server (or amv/amateur/takumi folder in a week's time )

    1)This video is about Mima's introspection and inner feelings as she deals with her own Obsession.
    2) The original length of #1 Crush was 4:45, i had to cut it to nearly half due to lack of suitable footage (that would suit the lyrics). I had to choose between a short and sweet vid or a long and messy one that dun make sense..and so i chose the former :P (its not because i'm lazy ok ??)
    3) The song of the short intro is "The Promise" by Micheal Nyman. Its the piece that was played in 'The Piano'. Its one of my instrumental faves !!!
    4) Lip synching isn't that good..that, i feel was my only regret regarding this vid.



    Trivals

    1) Mima appears in almost every scene in this vid, hence character profile
    2) Me Mania does not appear at all: i repeat, this vid has nothing to do with Me-Mania (for the record, he is the guy who stalks Mima in the movie but i've seen way too many vids that focuses on Me-Mania and so wanted to do something entirely different)
    3) The vid is meant to be confusing. It tells a story that is totally different from the movie. It starts with scenes that looked like flashbacks then followed by Mima's obsession with 'somebody' who didn appear in the vid but later....oh ..just d/l and watch the vid will you ??? I promise its something you wouldn't expect...and for PERFECT BLUE fans, forget everything abt PB and watch my vid froma newbie point of view.,..trust me, its more interesting.
    4)No spoiler scenes...some scenes are included to MISLEAD not SPOIL
    5)Not much violence or nudity in this vid (onli a few frames of nudity were included but it was absolutely necessary.)
    6) This is my first non-action packed vid and i feel i did quite well despite that ^_-

    Had my first OT today...a disaster recovery they call it. The air-conditioning in the server room played truant today and the servers overheated and kapoop !!!!

    Ian asked an interesting question today and got an int reply

    Ian: The sprinklers, do they work ??
    Tech1: yes, of course
    Ian: then what happens when there is fire with all the servers ard??
    Tech1: oh...so is the fire more dangerous or the water ???

    So we had to shift them ( those racks of servers are HEAVY !!! ) to several blocks away and recover them or else there'll be no going home ( gasp). And guess what Murphy dropped by for a visit. A hard disk failure !!! But hey that shouldn't be too much of a disaster since we've got 8 identitcal backup HDs...but NOOOOO, they had to troubleshoot it despite being 7pm in the evening. Left TP at 7:22pm , feeling hungry but well-learned . At least i know how those huge servers look like now...and of course the giangantic air conditioner systems (have never seen anything quite like those )

    Murphy's law: the chances of a server failing is directly proporational to its cost and indirectly proportional to the time we have left to troubleshoot it.

    My new vid is draining the life out of me.... 5 hours spent and onli 20 secs edited ?!?!?? WTF !!

    Listenin to #1 crush's lyrics 20 times in a day is no joke !!!
    At 2:29 now...still onli halfway there...(groans)..

    Into 1 min 49 sec of "Obsession" now...hope to finish it in 3 days time...still 3 minutes of the vid to go ...i may be forced to cut the music short as i'm starting to run out of useful clips.

    Twisted my ankle badly in the soccer session today...damn the badly-designed pair of NEW BALANCE shoes...like Kelvin and the rest said, its really a curse. Stll managed to score a few goals though...my old touch is slowly coming back.that is if my ankle stays injury free..


    Liverpool drew again despite Owen scoring: anything new ????



     
  • And now you need a little faith in me and yourself...When you make your way to change the destiny...If you could only see what I could do for you. 2002-01-19 08:36:44 Spend an entire day making my comback vid ( after a 5 month break ) after meeting Jenny in SPC to sign some documents (why can't she just forge my signature instead?.) . I initially had intended to start on "Ethers tragic" first but after watching Perfect Blue last night, i had a GREAT idea on a vid and decided to work on it straight away.

    I'm not posting it as a new vid yet (not until i'm finished it ) as i'm really paranoid someone will steal this idea from me (however improbable).

    Tomolo is soccer day again..this time i'm playing with Kelvin and gang...and i STILL haven't bought my new boots yet...

    Liverpool is entertaining the Saints tonite... i wun even pray for the win.... Just hope that we dun lose by too big a margin
