And when you love her love her... she will be, a angel ...angel in your heart...forever ever it will be...

Just watched Perfect Blue and my mind is in a daze. What a freaky and compelling movie!!!!!!!! No amount of superlatives i can conjure up can even come close to doing this movie justice.
Mima is one of the most 'human' characters ever protrayed in anime, i really felt for her as she went thru various mental and emotional trumas..i could say more but i'll spoil it for those of u who are reading this .
Quote from a website
-------------------
" Perfect Blue has a few intergrating themes and influences and comes together as a rather disturbing but almost uplifting experience that covers a wide range of human emotions. This is far better than your average stalker thriller with many pyschological twists and errie mood pacing that will keep you on your toes. One of the movie's more novel features is the very effective blurring of the line between reality and fiction. You actually get to travel in the mind of our young herion, Mina, and it's a dark and sometimes downright bizarre ride. There is a share of social commentary scattered throughout that is mostly evident from the perspective of minor characters such as entertainment writers who chronical Mina's career in pop music and then into acting. They act as a backdrop to suggest clearity and simplicity as to what's really going on. Sexual content and violence is an issue here but it's really not as bad as you've probably heard. Much of the film is actually quite clean but gets really messy a couple times. There are some hard to watch(turn down the volume and hope no one walks in)type of scenes but they are more graphic in intent than in actual appearence "
I can say this is the onli movie that keeps screwing and screwing with my mind throughout but in the end when the final jigsaw came about..everything came into place perfectly. I can't say the same about Evangelion and Lain though. The last scene was mentally very disturbing..i'm still cringing as i type this...
POWERFUL ending !
Perfect Blue is perfect !!! Do yourself a favour..watch it.

The Ethers Tragic
2002-01-17 09:39:46
Made up my mind today to start on a new amv project. The emergence of new local blood has rekindled the FIRE in me.I've been listening to "The end is the beg is the end' for some time now and i feel thats the perfect song to kick-start my little hobby.
Generator Gawl fits the song perfectly: the angst, the sorrow and the loneliness protrayed by the anime seem to fit the lyrics well. I'm going to start on it this saturday and what about this for a tentative title for the vid: 'The Ethers Tragic'
Brought my new collegues to my fave coffee shop for lunch. I'm beginning to discover the 'humourous' side of them. Yes, they can be very humourous indeed and i couldn't help but envy when they talk about their trip to Ireland, abt how cold it was; how the windows got frozen and couldn't be opened; how Danny hanged his underpants on the onli window that could be opened etc...
Ian's got a MASTER DEGREE ..wow *starry eyed*. And he's thinking of singing up for a diploma in poly pretty soon, in basic networking *duh*
I'm assigned to work out the prototype for TP's online room booking system. Seems like a pretty comfortable job...but i could be wrong :)
( Couldn't help but notice how the working enviornment has become so much more relaxed when HW's not around) But she's such a nice lady ...unless there's stg abt her that hasn't been revealed to me yet...i'll cross my fingers if/when that happens.
Sleep, me need.

Listening : As Heaven is wide By Garbage
Eating : Food
Wearing : Clothes
Quote of the day : The light at the end of the tunnel is the headlight of an oncoming train
Got a message from Anne early in the morning about wtr i was at the Party. Oh man i wished i was there..instead of staying in this horrible place they call a cubicle. Alright , enjoy urselves pple while i moan and groan about work and my PHB (pointy-haired-boss )...just jokin ,Ivan :) !!!!!
Thankfully today was a rather productive day at work. Brian brought a SAM'S LEARN JAVASCRIPT IN 24HRS book and without asking i grabbed it and read it st. away, thinking that he had brought it for me. Hehe.. it was a very good read (simple and straight to the point) [quote SAMS: learn onli what you need to know ]...The book touches on the very basics of Jscript but ii most ways still useful enough for almost all the stuff you see on todays' webpages.. I covered the 5th hour/chapter in 30min and spend the rest of the time fiddling with the basic handler events. Touched on chapter 14 before i left for dinner with KB
Man i love the food at TP...cheap and quality stuff , Japanese Teriyaki set for $3.50 ..what a steal...i even added a small box of sushi for a dollar !!!
Talked about the usual stuff with KB over dinner: anime , soccer and JPOP. Got him to buy the box of TRIGUN vcds....potential source for my next AMV perhaps ??

Quote : Billy Corgan: "I was a jock, but I wasn't on the sports team. I played guitar, but I didn't hang out with the stoners. I just couldn't hang in any way, and when you're young and you can't hang, you oppose. So I was anti-everything, f*ck you all."
How boring when can work get when you have go to the washroom just to pass time ??? Nothing as usual as work and i'm starting to hate staring into the box they call a monitor. I usually don't , when there's is sound coming from it. How can anyone work on a PC without a frigging sound card. Hmm i do sound a little angst here. Note that i'm a very nice guy in real -life, this little blog is where my angsty alter ego comes in and start acting like a jerk. :)
Anway I have to start thinking about my future: is this how i want to spend most of my life ? slogging away in front of a PC and doing/eating the same stuff everyday or working at my own pace and time, never staying put at a place but never knowing when my next pay will come. I dunno...seriously dunno ..
Anyway , i recieved a call from Jenny abt a supposed party tomolo at SPC called the FLYING START. Apparently they had it every new year and its supposed to inspire us to work harder to sell more policies. Alas, too bad i have to work and after clearing a leave not too long ago, i wasn't abt to clear another one so soon. What party ?? I dun care abt no frigging parties..just wanna ....( the hapless emoticon )
Downloaded 180 mbs of videos and mp3s in the 4 hrs i'm online today ; mostly from the 90's bands like Garbage, Smashing Pumpkins and Powderfinger. Hell, those are some of the best songs i've heard all year round ( i mean for the past 15 days)

A beautiful survivor cast..???
2002-01-14 23:36:29
The Problem: The old gray cow just ain't what she used to be. In its third season, Survivor is plagued by predictability (that switcharoo only gave it a temporary jolt) and, most notably, bad casting. I mean really, does anyone care which unlikeable loser takes the mil?
Can It Be Saved? A friend who visited the new Survivor site in French Polynesia tells me the producers have realized their Africa mistake and done a complete 180. Apparently, the new cast is made up of Colbys, Elisabeths and Colleens--all fabulously good-looking and likable people. Yawn.
