  • You can watch the world devoured in it's pain 2002-01-14 09:31:09 Had a extremely long lecture today which nearly lasts the entire day. Ivan did not have an easy time trying to do a walkthorough of the Prototype 6 in the face of stern looking , nit-pickin' peeps.

    Its amazing how NOT far the project has progressed. Brian's quote about how Singapore is known for productivity just abt sums things up. Its not our fault though..it seems the database of TP is not very centralised and they had two different systems to check and update databse entries which makes it very hard for web programmers.

    The 'pickiness' of the TP administration did not make things easy for us, it seems. 6 months had passed and the project ISIS still in a very infant stage. No worries though..in the next few months, i'll be involved in onli the room booking system which shoudln't be too hard..i hope (gulps)

    Listening to Smashing Pumpkins' 'The End is the Beginning is the End'as i type...its the 10th time today..great song ...great lyrics...
    Powderfinger's My Happiness is pretty good too ...a similar genre to the over-rated (so many people (ok onli 2)are telling me how its their fave song when its so ordinary) Yellow by Cold Play

    So Liverpool drew with Arsenal with Riise scoring a clincal goal after running half the pitch to meet a superb Gerrard pass. And guess what ? Ljunberg scored again ( he must have something against us) and he could have two , missing a sitter in front of an open goal.
    I say we have ZERO chance of winning the EPL now...no way we can win playing such negative football...except for riise and gerrad , everybody's too scared to take on opponents and try something differnt. I've said this too many times..."STOP PUMPING THE DAMN BALL FORWARD!! "
    Arsenal shld have won ..they played much better football ...just look at how they slice thru our defence with killer passes and Pires made Carra look like a schoolboy.. Nuff said. 
  • Sunday is Soccer day. 2002-01-13 05:59:08
    Totally disappointed with my performance today. I was blaming my pair of bulky shoes but deep down i knew i was lacking match fitness and the 2 month break from soccer certainly had its toll on me.

    Ok , i scored 2 goals; one of which was a "i didn even know how i did it " goal but overall my perfomance stunk like a pair of 2 month old socks.

    I really hated my pair of shoes which is making my ankle hurt everytime i tried to make a turn...

    Buy a new pair of boots: added new resolution for the new year

    So CITYTV is finally down ...so there'll be no sports channel for a while.
    ARGHHH!!!!! What will life be without laughing at the antics of the part time actors from WWF ?? What will life be without another 'blood-vomting' action from S-LEAGUE ?? What will happen if if we dun get to watch a 3rd re-run of 'My Princess' ? What will life be if we dun get to see Jacky Wu make another de-grading remark abt the opposite sex ?? Do we honestly care ??? haha

    My fren was suggesting that "Days of out lives" should be replaced by WWF since they represent the same soap opera..i tend to agree..



     
  • DNA^2 2002-01-12 10:11:30 Brief Synopsis
    Karin Aoi travels from the future to change the DNA of Junta Momonari, the Mega-Playboy whose genetic structure (his DNA) makes him irresistible to women and wield the ultimate fighting powers (which ALSO makes him irresistible to women ^_^). Because of his extremely attractive charm, he is supposed to cause a humongous population overgrowth. The story is that he is supposed to make 100 women pregnant when he is the Mega-Playboy. This might not seem all that bad at first, but when the children are born, they ALSO inherit their father's Mega-Playboy DNA, making them (YESSS...) Mega-Playboys as well. The Mega-Playboy's children also develop into Mega-Playboys and EACH CHILD gets 100 more women pregnant, making THOSE 100 women add another 100 children to the population, which means that THOSE children EACH will get another 100 women pregnant... and THAT is a LOT of children there in little ol' Japan ^_^.

    But Junta as his normal sweet self has a weakness. He becomes so nervous around women that he vomits whenever he sees anything CLOSE to a nude figure, like a swimsuit to anything close to naked.

    Karin arrives in the year where Junta lives, using her DNA bullet to neutralize the unmature Mega-Playboy DNA, but the wrong bullet that Karin brings along causes Junta to stabilize the DNA at a faster rater, therefore, slowly developing into the Mega-Playboy sooner than Karin expected. NOW Karin has a real problem in her hands.

    Opinion
    DNA2 is one of my favorite animes, not because it's "near-hentai-but-not-exactly-hentai-quality", but because of the sophisticated artwork and the awesome picture quality. This anime was actually drawn from a manga (also called DNA2; the manga is complete), and by far the Best picture quality I have seen than in any other animes. The storyline is really addicting, the character design is perfect, and the manga-quality animation made me watch it countless times; you might just have to finish all 15 episodes in one night! ^_^

    I would sort of call this anime a "Goldenboy" anime soap, except with more emotion and really great laughs.

    Call it the power of j drama , ever since i downloaded 'IS IT YOU'by Hitmoi, i must have sent the file more than 10 times thru audiogalaxy..7 times on the night of the first episode alone ..


    Finished all 15 episodes of DNA^2 in one sitting...what a twist in the end ..reminds me of Berserk whereby Demons start appearing in the final 3 episodes. Similarly, the jump from comedy/romance to action is rather abrupt..but overall its another classic !!!!


    Jesus ! So Ethan won after all , thank goodness !!!
    I was duly worried when Kim won the immunity challenge coz my fren had "carelessly' let slip to me that a guy won
    The 'politically right' person to vote off after winning the challenge would be Ethan , since i can't imagine anyone having more enemies than LEX at that point.

    To be honest , Lex was the last person i wanted to win; he played like he had every right to win this game; saying things like "i'll cut his throat " etc...when somebody voted for him...c'mon it's a game...take it like a man. Well, at least he took it well when old Kim granny voted for him.


    Etahn was an introvert, a loner in some sense...too nice to play the game...def not the strongest ard but he deserved to win. Nice guys dun finish last , thank God!
