Sayonara!
2009-08-06 21:53:00
Well, this is my last journal post. I've found a stand alone blog that has a lot more options. If you want to follow me, see what's going on, etc. go to: http://rcmacdo.blogspot.com/ It's like my own little place. ^_^ Of course I'll still be using the site, so it's not like I'm totally leaving. :P Bye!

You guys!! Do you even have a silver soul?
2009-08-05 21:39:59
Hi! This was another Gintama quote. By the way, Gintama literally means Silver Soul. Kind of cool. I slept really well last night, so I was hoping I'd feel great during the day. Wrong! I have a huge headache, I'm getting more shocks, seem like I have 'sea legs' (kind of funny thing to me), and don't really want to eat anything. Hopefully, I don't have something on top of these 'shiver' things. Plus, I never thought I'd being saying this after the heat we just experienced, but now it feels too cold. I prefer the cold though. You can just put layers on if you feel cold, you can only strip so far if it's too hot. ^_^ So, in the end I didn't feel like getting up too early, or doing what I want to do. Oh, well, there's always tomorrow. ;P The internet was extremely slow earlier too.
Also, recently my laptop was having issues. Saying I couldn't get into my profile. For a couple of days I did things like diagnostic tests, it was fine afterwards. Then, as soon as it was turned on again it had the same problem. So, yesterday I defragged, scanned for viruses, and did disc cleanup. Disc cleanup asked if I wanted to compress my old files. Get this, before compressing I had only 2 GB of free space. After, I had 10 GB of free space. 5 times as much! That definitely worked! Plus, now it's working much faster. Yay! For figuring that one out! :P
Oh! My mom got pics of my cousin Esty's babies. Apparently, one of them recently turned over, and it takes a long time for a baby to learn that. You learn new things everyday! :D They're really cute babies.

In troubled times, laugh, laugh.
2009-08-04 23:48:58
Hi! This is another Gintama quote. Well, I've felt a lot better today. The weather was nice and I found away to almost make my 'brain shivers' non- existent. Someone suggested an Omega 3 supplement, and I already had some, so I thought I should try it. It was so much better. When it did happen it wasn't as intense. Somehow I can tolerate it more. So, since I was in a good mood I got up early and finally got to do my normal routine again.
I read more of Naruto. I'm at the point in the manga where Konoha is being attacked, and the Hokage is battling with Orochimaru. I hate to say this but I love Orochimaru in both the anime and manga. He's kind of one of those characters that you love to hate, I guess. ;P I love how Pakkun shows up, and Sakura immediately says how can a little dog help us? Pakkun's awesome though! His attitude is funny, he can track down enemies, he's smart, etc. He bit Shikamaru when he was playing possum. That was great! They're trying to find where Sasuke went. I love this part of the story for some reason. :D
I got to play my clarinet today too. That was really nice! The only problem was since my fingers aren't used to it anymore, I screwed up on some songs. My stupid pinkies wouldn't move right and I felt like they were going to break. Oh, well maybe tomorrow it will be easier. ^_^
I did more of my Japanese. I'm still looking up the kanji of the words I have down, and looking at verb forms. I finished going through the a's section that way. I've just started on i's again. They have too many forms! x_X
I also think it's odd that isha and sensei can both mean doctor. (Not sure if I posted about that before, but it's still weird.) I don't know why but the word for pond is interesting: ike.
In Nabari no Ou, I felt even more sorry for Yoite. He's really had a sucky life. The leader of the organization he's apart of basically used him. Yoite for some reason feels like he wants to erase his existence, but doesn't want to die. He kept saying when he was a little kid that everyone cursed his existence even his parents. Being accepted by Miharu has changed him somewhat, but he still thinks he should be erased. I can't believe they killed Raiko towards the end of the episode. I thought he was going the kill Hattori. Looks like Miharu's 'ability' will be awakened in the next episode. It's getting kind of interesting, although most of it has been. ;P
In Gintama it was more of Toshi's group against Shinpachi's. It was funny they found a 'foreigner' on the marathon they were running on and used him as one of Shinpachi's teammates. He didn't know any of the answers in the quiz show about Otsu, but accidentally answered them correctly. It was great! All he wanted to do was go to the bathroom, but since the pop idol has kind of a 'potty mouth' it went with the answers.
I drew a little today too. Actually I ended up drawing for almost 2 hours! I thought I was going to do it for like an hour. I was trying to get the anatomy of my character right, but it was incredibly hard for some reason. This character is looking off somewhere, a different kind of pose than the usual easy straight on shot. Also I managed to draw the cat in my how to draw manga book pretty well. Last time I did it I screwed up on it's paws. So, it was a jumbled mess. ;P

D-don't worry, a-all we have to do is find a t-time machine
2009-08-04 00:34:07
Hi! This was a hilarious quote from Gintama. Gintoki accidentally ran over Kagura with his moped. The whole episode was about trying to find a time machine when things went wrong. Got to love that show! ;P Well, I basically passed out last night, and therefore woke up really late. I think it was because of supposed 'brain shivers'. So, I didn't get done what I wanted to do. But, hopefully tomorrow will be different. Here's a couple more quotes from Gintama (there are so many!):
"Anyone who wears sunglasses is an assassin."
"The country? The skies? You can have them. I'm busy just protecting what's right in front of me. I don't know what'll happen to me in the future, but if something has fallen at my feet, then the least I can do is pick it up."
"If you keep this up, your urine will mix with the sugar causing a chemical reaction.....
blowing up your man berries!"- a doctor commenting on Gintoki's obsession with sweets. ^_^
Gintoki: "Kagura, call to an ambulance!"
Kagura: "AMMMMBUUULANCEEEEEEE!" :D
Otae: ".... asses, you see, are proof that humans were once angels, they used to be wings." o_0
Gintoki: "Listen up!
Let's say you drink too much strawberry milk, and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
But it's cold outside your bed.
You don't want to get up, but the urge to urinate is just too strong!
You make up your mind to go!
You run to the bathroom, stand in front of the toilet, and let loose!
You think that all your life has led to this moment!
But then you realize!
It isn't the bathroom, you're still in bed!
That feeling of lukewarm wetness spreads like wildfire!
But you don't stop! You can't stop!
That's what I'm talking about!
THAT'S THE TRUTH OF THE STRAWBERRY MILK!
DO YOU GET IT!?"
"You gotta eat when you can!"

There are no bad guys among those with natural perms.

Hi! This was a Gintama quote. I looked up some stuff on withdrawal symptoms of Effexor, because I just couldn't explain one of the main symptoms. It was really interesting, although it made me rather pissed off! >.< On some forums they call it "brain shivers". The way they described it fit it to a T. According to the forum, it's when the brain stays put for a micro- second, then tries to catch up but only in a stuttering stop start motion, accompanied by a staccato 'zzt zzt zzt' with each stop. The 'zzt' you can feel in your head, an electric sort of vertigo, and it often reverberates in your hands and fingers. Sometimes the brain overshoots and comes strobing back, then overshoots again all in a second or 2. The whole nervous system can 'shiver.' Now psychiatrists are recognizing that the side effects of withdrawal is more severe than previously thought, Effexor should be used only in cases of depression resistant to other meds. (It was one of my first meds, so I didn't have chance to try other drugs at the time. Makes me so pissed!) Another person said that it was like shaking your head side to side violently, moving your eyes up and down fast, trying to stand up, and then shocking yourself with high voltage. Very painful! But, it sounds exactly like what I'm going through. I'll tell my new psychiatrist when I see him in a couple of weeks.
Gintama was about a war of otaku. Kind of funny. ^_^ One side was the fan club of Otsu, who's a pop singer, the other group was headed by a guy who's into anime media. He wants to become the #1 otaku. So, for some reason he's fighting to be in the official Otsu fan club. (Even though I thought he had a thing against pop idols.) Also, it was hilarious when Gintoki joined, because he was just in it for the money. He really doesn't understand the otaku. In fact, he complains about them through most of the 2 episodes I watched. When Kagura hears there's money involved she joins too.
Nabari no Ou was kind of sad. The story of the supposed main evil guy of the Kairoushuu (I think that's spelled right?) was just sad. He was in the doctors without borders program. Along with his 'assistant'. Suddenly, after saving the lives of some refugees, they were attacked. His assistant lost her eyesight. I wondered why she always has her eyes closed, makes sense now. Although, she does things like flower arranging all the time. I think that would be extremely hard. Anyways he lost a lot of the refugees he saved. He become cold- hearted after that.
I finished watching Hetalia today. It was really interesting. It's really about the cultures and customs of the countries during WWII. Japan talked about how he's going through some serious culture shock hanging out with his 'western' allies. He ends up becoming very confused about their cultures. They also showed more of England and America's complicated history. Next, they talked about China's and Japan's story. How China tried to make the Japanese use kanji but they made up their own writing system. Also, the first thing Japan said to China was the sun sets in China, but rises in Japan. Obviously, that pissed China off. After having too many hamburgers, America found out he was gaining weight and became obsessed with trying to find a new diet. Eventually he asks Japan and they say they eat 3 square meals a day and a snack. Supposedly, America liked that and kept that diet. England is like a big brother to America, and China is like a big brother to Japan at the beginning. When Canada shows up at the Allies conference, nobody pays attention to him. They made Russia into a somewhat bipolar character. I think the only female character in the anime is Liechtenstein. Kind of sad, she also looks up to Switzerland who acts like a protective brother to her. They should Israel for like a brief second. He was really young, and England was taking care of him. He said the English have horrible tastes in food. The only reason why they cancelled airing more of Hetalia according to one website was because Korea didn't like how they were portrayed in a preview they saw. It was mostly North Korea who was the most upset. So, they censored it. Also, they didn't like that Israel was going to have a really positive portrayal. The creator said he'll post more episodes online behind Korea's back. Kind of sneaky but awesome! :P
I hope to try and get back to a normal routine tomorrow. Hopefully, read more manga, draw, write, walk, play the clarinet, and study Japanese. Stuff I haven't done in a while because of the heat, hitting my head really hard, and having withdrawal. I'll force myself if I have to! I think it's going to be cooler tomorrow.
