  • Looking back at a momentous year 2007-12-30 22:15:11 Wow what a year! So many events that changed my life occurred.
Finally graduated from college with a dual degree. I am glad that I made the decision to take on two degrees after my Softmore year. It was pretty tough, playing catch-up and juggling my internship at the same time but I knew it was worth it and am even more glad that I stuck with it.

Began working out of college as a software developer which I enjoy, I love the laid back and supportive working environment. The people are great and the work is rewarding - I have already learn't soo much from my time being there. I am excited to see what the following years will bring.

Bought my first car which I love, though I wouldn't mind if it was a little more powerful :)

Got my own apartment which isn't so bad but would rather live close to my office. The neighborhood is quiet and nice but not for me. After growing up in NYC, I don't think I can adjust to that type of environment. =/

Parent's house caught on fire but I'm just relieved everyone was alright and with the new house almost done, it's looking better than ever.

Met some interesting people on various trips and had some crazy times with friends. It's sad the some of them have drifted away after we graduated and began working but I have also became closer with others.

All in all, it was a pretty fun year and I can't wait to see what the upcoming years hold after finally embarking into the real world.
  • Into the real world 2007-09-11 19:38:23 Wow, where does the time go? It's been a couple of months since I started working as a software engineer and I really enjoy it. Sometimes things can get hectic but after I come through it, I feel a great satisfaction of what I have accomplished.

So finally out in the real world with my own place, and all the bills that comes with it :(
But I am glad, it gives me a feeling of freedom that I never felt before. Though, I go back to NYC during the weekends, lol. I guess no matter how free I feel, there's no other place that can replace the way I feel about NYC.
  • Last few days of freedom 2007-06-08 20:46:47 It's weird - all this time I couldn't wait to start working at my new job but now that there's only one week left, I couldn't be more nervous. It was great to get away for a while and not think about it.

Just got back from a week trip to Orlando where I had a blast. Hooray for summer and double woot for short shortss, I sure loved the sights, lol :-p. The scenery was nice too. It was really fun and it was nice to spend time with friends right before we all embark on our separate ways with our careers. Hopefully we can occasionally hang out with each other.

Now that I am back, reality is starting sink in, my first day is just ahead, still need to find an apartment, complete alot of paper work and worry about a room mate. Well I I guess there's nothing I can do except just tackle everything as they come.
  • end of the road and beginning of a new one 2007-05-28 22:01:23 Well, looking back at my previous (and only) entry I couldn't help laughing. I guess it was written when I was a freshman in college. Now I am about to graduate with 2 degrees which I finished in 4 years and with a pretty decent GPA. I am satisfied and I can't believe I am done - boy does time flies.

Anyways, I am finally out of college and it's time to start working. I am to start working as a software engineer next month at a respectable company and I can't wait but I'm a little nervous about living up to their expectations. I guess there's nothing to do but just try my best.
