Why, oh god, why?

My computer is dead, the motherboard is fried. Better yet, the hard drive that had the source for all my videos died 2 days ago, so now I am completely shit outta luck. I had 3 videos with over a minutes worth of near completed synching for each of them, and now they are a mere memory.
After I finally get a damn job, I will no doubt correct this error and get back to work. Until then, I've only my parent's lesser computer to work with and the future seems very boring.
The drive is under warranty, so I will get another in a few weeks, but I had HOURS of work on that drive that unfotunately can't be recovered under my budget. Seems data recovery costs in the thousands, which I find to be complete crap. I'll no doubt overcome this, but I just wanted to get this recorded in my journal before I go nuts.
On the bright side, at least I now have a perfectly intact motherboard to take a sledgehammer to... ;) -

School is quite over, I waited to get my grades and ended up with a 3.75 GPA for the semester. I'm not quite sure how that happened, but it did and I can dance the night away muchachos! Now it's summer time and I gotta get my ass a job so I can pay for some exciting car repairs and get me an Athlon XP system. I can almost taste the fun!
AMV wise, still kinda having trouble yet again, can't seem to sustain an entire vid anymore. I always exaust my ideas and leave gaps which I have no idea what to do with. I got yet another idea that actually will be easier to do and I'm reviewing the footage FIRST before even trying to put together a whole video. Positive that it'll work out, it'll be more dramatic which is much more my style.
Action vids just give me a headache, they apparently aren't my cup of tea when I attempt them... Of course it's really just because I'm such a picky bastard, my knowledge of the tools is vast but binding footage to music is proving more difficult now then previously. I really just gotta loosen up and not take this so seriously, I'm dying to create a perfect vid but that's really my problem. 3 months of low paying work outta get me back in the spirit. Blah, I'm out. -

Saw episode 2 twice today. Do I want to see it again? Indeed... <grins devilishly>
Easily the most entertaining movie I've seen in a while, plenty of moments were I yelled "Holy shit" at the top of my lungs due to the sheer shock value. One thing must be stated: for PG, this movie is REALLY violent. Sure, there's no blood, but the high number of body-part-slashing is up there. I'm very pleased with this movie, and can't wait to see it again. Maybe I'll wait another week... let's hope.
You must see this movie if you've ever had any curiousity about what makes Yoda so damn special. There is little doubt at the end of this movie why he is Jedi #1. That alone is worth your damn $5-$8, nevermind the rest of it.
It was so good that now I have to lower my expectations again just to enjoy the next one, cause they are SOARING after this. Lucas did a fine job and I can't wait to see what they'll add to it for the DVD release... which comes out this YEAR! Ok, I'm done...
Anyways, it's finals time, which gives me NO time to do pretty much anything but study/work on projects. -

No more Japanese class + no more classes to attend in general (except finals later) + it almost being May 16th = MY ASS SEEING EPISODE 2!
Hype or dedication aside, I will enjoy this damn movie. I just got a ticket for 12:01am Thurs (about 9 hours from when I typed this) and I've already had a ticket for later on Thurs at 4:30pm. This is gonna be one busy ass day for sure. Am I obsessed? Hardly... Am I dedicated/bored/wealthy? Most likely...
Probably another month till I get my current vid finished. I haven't had much time at school to work on it, so it's taking much longer than expected. It's already pretty neato, but has much work to go if it's gonna be my first "must have" project to date. It should be, as long as you want something fun to watch and not something conceptually brilliant.

Again... school is draining my resources, but at least now I've regained my desire to finish up my latest vid. I had felt kinda down for the past few weeks, for absolutely no reason (too much freakin work), and almost said "fuck it" to the entire process. Luckily I thought for a while and got back to work, so I actually will have a new video in the coming months.
Finals are coming up very soon, not even month away anymore, but at least I get a few days off before they really hit with their best shot, cause I need some stinkin lazy time.
