  • Update May 2007 2007-05-28 23:49:57 The little monster is now 18 months old and I haven't had any time to put down any new AMV's. In fact most of my editing has been back burnered due to life needs. I am really feeling the need to put something out though and I am not sure if it will be an amv or something else. I have felt that I need to re-express some of my talents outside of my work. Our little guy is awesome. He watches the Matrix and is ecstatic at the fight scenes. My wife and I are swell and looking to settle on finding a home for us ant he little monster.
If anyone is looking to collaborate or needs a good editor, check out the only amv i threw togetehr in about 60 minutes. I don't know as much about anime as I think I should and maybe that is my roadblock in this genre. Time will tell.

  • I might be back 2006-09-02 02:44:40 **Update*** 2006 September

I am still alive. I have a 9 month old that has consumed my life. Between my wife and him, I have neglected this hobby. I am looking through a few things and seeing if I can find something inspiring to create. I have recently been inspired by Wade Robson Choreography, but can't seem to find any music that is just riveting yet. I think with a little Cowboy Bebop I might find something raw and earthy and combine it with something like Delerium or ol skool Apollo 440 or the likes maybe Agnostic Front or maybe come current with Winners and Losers from Social Distortion. I have a few mind boggling ideas. Let's see if I can get back into this AMV game.

  • 1st AMV 2004-11-14 16:20:00 I just posted my first AMV last night. It only took about 2 hours of my time to do. Fairly simple on the sequencing and I used very simple effects and transitions. In fact all transitions but one were quick edits and I added some slow motion sequences to add effect for the ambience of the musical track.
I'd like to see what others think. I still have to get my hands on more anime sources. We will see what the future brings, I am excited by this genre and it gets me away from my film shorts and mundane wedding videography during the summer. Now I have something to play with in my down time and the creations from the others are just tight.
For now I think I will stick to minimalism till I know that my work is tight and then start adding more FX and toys. BEen doing this for awhile in the real world but I think I need to really educate myself to Anime styles. I took this Kill Bill sequence b/c I figure until I learn more of the style of anime my ideas may seem a little like Tarentino to the Film world.
    This is getting long.

my first creation of many me hopes by Shanty Films.
