The Truth Behind Shoujocon

Yeah I know I've written a report about Shoujocon and everything, but hey, this is the stuff not in the report ^^
Saturday, 12:35am
I woke up my mom, sleeping in the other bed, and told her that I had a fever. She felt my head, and got up to give me some ice water. By this time, I was still feeling like shit. Tomorrow was gonna be a big day since the AMV panel was going on and I could finally meet some people, but I knew that if I had a fever I wouldn't be able to. So I took some tylenol, and by this time was ready to sleep. I dozed off.
8:21am - Breakfast
I went downstairs to the cafe and had some breakfast. I felt a WHOLE lot better than before but didn't really feel like eating. So I had some grapes and a cruiscant and headed back up to my room to take a shower.
11:45 - 15 minutes before the AMV panel
I had picked up a plushie, Gestalt on DVD, 4 little figures, Maho Tsukai Tai! OAV 1-4 on VHS, and Legend of the Last Lybrinth OAV 1-2 on VHS in the dealers room and packed all my stuff up in the car. I checked out, and headed upstairs to the panel rooms. By this time I was freaking out and felt very out of place. I noticed Meri who I had talked to on Friday along with Mike and Scott sitting, and I kinda glanced over to see what they were doing. I also recognized Anneke from the description she gave in the forums. As I poured myself some water 2 people came up to me, and one asked "Are you Fungie?". I didn't really understand what he said and thought he said "Are you hungry?" so I shrugged. He asked again, and I was like "Oh!" and said "Oh yeah." I looked at his badge and saw Mike Walsh (Yosho) on it. I felt so stupid!! I was introduced to Anneke, one of the nicest people ever, and we talked for a minute or so. Then Scott came over.
I guessed Scott knew who I was since I was pretty short, had big eyes, and looked innocent ^^ Oh well. There was the "depressing water" incident (Yosho and Anneke should remember) in which the water began depressing Scott. I laughed lightly, and we all proceded into the panel room.
12:00pm - AMV Panel
I met alot of people, and learned alot about music videos. Here's a little short list of people I met and what I honestly thought about them:
Yosho (Mike W.) - He was pretty cool. We didn't really talk much, but we were the 2 youngest people there (I'm 14, Yosho's 16) so it was kinda cool with him there.
Anneke (Cynthia) - Definately one of the nicest people out there. She has a very comedic style about her, and I love her videos! Way cool to meet.
Scott A Melzer (Scott) - A legend ^^ I'd talked to Scott online for months now and meeting him in person was way cool.
MeriC (Meri) - The "token chick" on the AMV panel. Meri is awesome, and I had talked to her for a while, so it was nice matching the name to a face. She looks tiny, but she can kick butt ^^
VegettoEX (Mike L.) - Cool guy. We didn't talk much, but he was really nice. I was kinda shy so...oh well. Nice to meet him.
Ravenfire19 (Jon) - He seemed pretty cool. Another person who I didn't really talk to, but hey, I'm shy, so you can't blame me ^^
Otaku13 (Joshua) - Gomen! I didn't have a CD to exchange for :( Are you going to Nekocon? I'll give you a CD of my videos then. Same to all of you.
Silvercat (Gina) - We kinda ditched everyone at the party for the Ice Cream Social ^^ She was really nice, and loved my plushie ^^
rtmd42 (Richard) - He was nice. I didn't talk to him much, and don't remember him at the party. Was he there?
Lukas Chen - Probably the funniest one there. Like Anneke said, he needs to enter his video into a film festival ^^
2:15pm
We stole the clubhouse. Yeah I know it's wrong, but we needed a place to party, and no one was in there anyway. So we said, hey, what the hell, might as well. We watched some videos, had some blue stuff, talked, and then most of us headed upstairs for the ice-cream social.
3:30pm-6:00pm
I honestly don't remember what I did. I wandered from video room to video room, checked out the dealers room again, etc. etc. etc. Oh well.
6:00pm
Went to Otakudom, for the second time at Shoujocon just to lighten up before the AMV contest.
7:00pm
Saw the contest, loved it, talked with Anneke.
8:30pm
Went home :(

I'm doing rather good as of now. Nothing's been bugging me lately. I scraped my AWA video, and did another one. I like it, and it has been sent. Still working on Nekocon video, hope to have it finished by deadline. My Dazzle Hollywood DV Bridge is being nice today, so expect is soon. More and more people are wanting to see my AWA video, but only a few will ^^
Yup I used DVD's ^^ After I finish my Nekocon video I have a project I REALLY wanna work on, but not for a convention. Plus I have alot of DVD's I need to buy for a project. Oh well, Christmas is coming soon ^^

Awaken My Friends...And See The Light!

I finished it...my AWA project, it's done. Let me explain some stuff about this video.
After spending yet another $15 and after 2 weeks, I finished my AWA project. I used a song that not many have heard, and an anime that probably no one on this site knows about. I set to work on this project and worked and worked really hard on this video, making me really weirded out by the final outcome. Yeah its different, nothing at all like "Utena In A Cocoon of Love".
TECHNICAL DETIALS

Audio: I used a song right off the CD.
Video: There are no DVD, VHS, or available LD's of this series. There is a
fansub of the first 2 OAV's but OAV 3 is unknown to otaku. However, I got the fansubber to make me 3 VHS tapes of the 3 OAV's that were direct off the LD. Quality is A+ on this video, something which surprised me in this case.
Effects: Some suddle fades and transitions.
Many people will be surprised about this video, as it is so different from anything I've ever done that it really scared me after looking at the final outcome. I'm begging many people to like this video.
My video will be playing at AWA, Nekocon, Aya Returns, and Ohayocon. -
Shoujocon 2002

Well I got back from Shoujocon 2002 yesterday, as I could not stay for Sunday :( My report is up in the forum, so please give it a look. I got to match alot of names to faces.
Anywho, about my AWA8 projects, project #2 is finished, and I'm currently burning it to a VCD to send to some people for suggestions. I hadn't planed on finishing it so quickly, but I did. Weird, huh? As of now I'm not releasing any more info on my projects until they are up and running. *sighs* I'm bored today, and got someone to burn me 15 CD's (of my Utena vid) and 5 VCD's (of my AWA8 Project#2). I may even drop my other AWA8 project, as I changed the idea for Project#2. Also, instead of submitting by VHS, I'll be submitting digitally. Look forward to my AWA8 project soon. Until then, ta-ta! -

Well www.animemusicvideos.org is back up, with a new look (and it looks good!). I've been saving up for Shoujocon now and after careful consideration, have decided *not* to go to Otakon. Why? Because I don't have any money and will be traveling :( Yeah it sucks, but hopefully I'll see all my NJ peeps at Shoujocon. As for now, I don't know if I am going to Nekocon V. I REALLY wanna go but I'm saving (as usual). More on that later.
I'm about 5% done on my Anime Weekend Atlanta project #1 and have yet to begin timing on my project #2. *sighs* These are taking me a while. I've got a really weird idea for a Sorcerer Hunters vid, as I have some DVD rips. I'm also doing a video to a Korean anime for AWA8 =) You'll have to see it at the con, because it probably won't be up until Nekocon V.
Even though I'm really siked up about my AWA 8 Project #1, since it uses a really cute anime, I really want to have project #2 entered aswell. It uses 4 different anime to a nice song (which I'm not announcing). This video (I hope) will be really good.
As for my personal life, it's been ok. I'll be in California in 3 days so that'll be odd. But hey, I get to see the ocean :) Well that's all for now.
