  • Kare Kano reborn... 2005-07-20 23:55:08 Just over 11111 views... That's a lot. 0_0 lol

My friend got me back into reading Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances). Amazing series! I just read volumes 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 this past week. Though I'll admit that the story is stretching it (with extremely long and emotional conversations), it still keeps you wanting more. I even heard that it will only be going up to volume 20. That's good, because it means it's almost done. There is one thing though that I hope with all my heart happens... That they make a second Kare Kano anime series based on the second half of the manga, since they so abruptly decided to end the anime series. It would be perfect! I can see it now, Kare Kano season 2! Though it will probably never happen, I'm praying with all my heart right now...

Today I pulled a little Arima myself. I got sucked into a whole little depression, feeling dark and alone. I knew it wasn't serious, and that I didn't really have much of a reason for my solom attitude. but I couldn't get it out of my head. So when I saw my girlfriend this past night, I just lay on her bed curled up in a ball beside her. I couldn't snap out of it. I just needed to lay in the darkness and keep calm for a bit.

Right now I could really go for a restful night's sleep, but I can't really afford it. I realize that the reality is that even if I try to finish all the stuff I need to get, I'm just going to pass out at one point tonight (probably soon) and not get anything done. But I suppose hope is still nice to have. lol

  • A true test of willpower... 2005-07-20 06:53:13 It's Wednesday today right? I'm leaving Friday evening to go camping with my girlfriend, though there are a series of things I want to get done before that happens. That leaves tonight and tomorrow night. Last night would have been useful, but I fell asleep while watching Super Size Me. Good movie though.

A lot more things would get done if I didn't have the bad habit of falling asleep everynight. Geez, who does that. lol

But really, I guess I just get these ideas from characters like those in Gundam Wing, Batman and even Kare Kano. Super human people who, with sheer determination, are able to totally ignore their basic bodily needs, and just keep trucking along. We all know Batman never sleeps. Those guys on Gundam Wing? They just work on their Gundams all night along, or show no pain from broken bones and injuries. Kare Kano? Soichiro and Yukino wake up early everyday without fail, not matter what they do.

It's definitely fun reading stories like these, but I suppose in a way I'm a very gullible person. I get the idea that if these people are able to do it, why can't I? I know they're fictional, but a guy's got to have role models, and I suppose there's nothing better than choosing the best of the best.

[Little fact: Though I've probably tried pulling all-nighters 90% of all of May, June and July, I've only been successful 2-3 times. EVERYother time, I've either fallen asleep at what I was doing (watching television, reading, working at my computer), or chose to lay down for a FEW seconds to rest, falling asleep the second my eyes closed to blink]

  • Money slowly disappearing... 2005-07-18 22:09:43 Last night my triple date turned into a double date. The couple who were supposed to join us bailed. Not surprising though. They rarely ever truly commit to anything.

We saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. And to tell you the truth, I enjoyed it. It was funny and quite entertaining. I have a feeling that's because I was walking into it with such low expectations that no matter what I would have been impressed. Shame it's not one of those things you can do all the time to make all movies better. lol

My girlfriend's parents are gone for two weeks. And how do we start things off? She worked basically 12 hours today, and the same tomorrow. Isn't that just romantic. It seems our timing is just horendous (sp?).

Right now I'm planning my financial future for the next month and a half. And it doesn't look very promising. I was hoping for a certain sum of money by the end of the summer, and at this rate it does not seem possible. My girlfriend wants me to take a couple of days off, which definitely hurts my pocket book. The saddest part is that I'm relying on all the change I'll be depositing in the next couple of days (from my coin bank) to reach my goal. -_-

  • Plans that are never executed... 2005-07-17 12:48:24 This weekend I had four goals.
    -Make a new painting.
    -Fix my neighbour's computer.
    -Fix my father's computer.
-Watch some of the movies I've borrowed.

Not a single one has come to fruition. That's kinda bites. Oh ya, and I wanted to upload pictures from all the projects I've done at University on my webpage too, but no time for that. Having a girlfriend takes up a lot more of your time than previously thought. And worse is that I always tell myself I'll just do it at night, though I always tend to fall asleep. Simply amazing...

Well, tonight I'm going on a triple date. My girlfriend and I are going out with another two couples whom we're very close friends with. Of course, it was the three girls who planned this together at a "girls-only" party. Go figure. We'll be seeing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tonight. What else did you expect from three girls who have crushes on Johnny Depp. lol

  • Another weekend is closing in from the wings... 2005-07-15 06:00:22 It's Friday morning. This is good. ^_^

Last night I was hoping to pull an all-nighter, but looks like I failed pretty miserably. That's ok, I suppose. I really wasn't up to it. Pretty bad when even I'm standing outside my room and thinking "Sleep would feel so good right about now..." Instead, I feel asleep around midnight, and woke up around 4:00am (for the third night in a row, weird), fell back asleep, and woke up a bit later. Today, it was 5:00am.

Tonight a friend of mine is having an anime night. We all bring our favourite episode, and we watch each one that people have brought. It will probably seem pretty weird, especially when we're watching the last episode of a series most people have never even heard of. lol

Who know what's the cutest thing? Nicole Kidman going cross-eyed in the movie Bewitched. It drove me absolutely nuts. It's like the most random thing, but for someone who usually has this professional and intense aura, to do something goofy... It will give you a chuckle, but then make you sigh about how cute she can be.
