Slow Processing
2007-04-05 16:45:04
So after yesterday's investigation I decided to take some time with each segment of my video and analyze it before I decide that that's how I want it to look. That's what will make the video look great. With this new goal in mind, I got through one verse of matching clips with the music, and then back track to watch it a few times to make sure it's great. That there's nothing more I want to do to it or that everything looks "professional". Then I go onto the next verse and so on.
The way I'm working on my recent video seems to be pretty cool. I don't just try to use filler video when I don't have an idea for that segment. I sit back and analyze. I try to figure out exactly what I want to put there to make it look better, not what will get me done with the video sooner.
With this new process my husband is getting aggrivated at me becasue after I watch the same segment over and over again I will call him over to the computer and ask him if he likes it. I refuse to accept an "OK". If it's just "OK" then it's not good enough. Now I think he's just saying it's great so I'll leave him alone about it.
Anyways, I'm hoping my new video will be awesome. So, once I'm done you guys need to check it out and tell me if my time was worth it or not.

The How-To Guides Make Me Feel Like A Newb!
2007-04-04 17:18:43
I have 30 minutes left of work, well...it was an hour when I started. So, I decided to read some of the How-To guides on making a good video. I looked up the one about action syncing...since my newest video is action based. The first one I read was pretty easy, it said a few things I already knew and somethings I knew but never tried. Then I go on to the next one. It was kind of boring to read so I just skimmed through it. Then I read Phade's guide. It was pretty good, things I've already done. Then I get to the last one, I don't remember what it's callled, but it started talking about how the longer you've been on here the more professional your videos are. I don't know if I've been here that long, so I feel as if I might be put into the non-proffesional category. So, would that in turn make me a newb at the whole AMV making thing? Just a ponder.
Well, I plan on starting my video tonight...and I read where the longer you work on your AMV the better it is. Just to let you people know, I can usually work on an AMV within a weekend and have it done. Then again, maybe that's why I only have 2 fans. I guess I can try harder, and examine the video more after I "finish" it. We'll see, odds are I won't have enough ideas for footage and end up tossing the idea away. I have little patience and I'm a big procrastinator. So, if I can't finish it at first, I will let it sit there forever...and then eventually throw it away because I don't want to worry about it anymore.

Almost A Year Later
2007-04-02 12:25:48
Can you believe it? It's been almost a year since I made an AMV. Actually, I've made plenty of AMVs, I just haven't hosted them on here. If you really want to see them just send me a PM and I'll put them up, but I must warn you they aren't my best work.
Anyways, back to my announcement. I've got an idea for a new AMV using Final Fantasy Advent Children. I know there are a ton of AMVs using Advent Children, which is why I haven't hosted any AMVs I've already made using the footage, but I just love the idea I have. It's not original though, but the song I plan on using is awesome!!!
So yeah, if you're a fan of Advent Children or me, watch for a new video coming soon.

2006-01-22 00:12:01
Hello, and welcome to one of my few journal entries. I am announcing the priemere of my new video Wizards In Fantasy. It's pure Final Fantasy goodness mixed with some Trans Siberian Orchestra rock. And if you've never heard of them, you should check them out. Anyways, just wanted to make my video announcement. No major projects right now. I had one but decided to toss it, maybe I need a few more videos under my belt to be able to make it. Well, hope you enjoy my video and have a nice day.

Welcome Back!
2005-11-29 23:41:37
Yeah, if anyone has actually noticed, I've been gone for a good two weeks. I moved into my new home and just got my internet hooked up. Anyways, I would like to take this time to thank the people that have left me opinions over the last few weeks, I'm amazed that the moment I leave I tend to get the most comments. I'd also like to say thank you to the people I left opinions for, they all seemed to appreciate my honesty and advice. I'm excited to be back on the internet and I am working on some projects right now that will be up, probably in a month. I still have alot of work to do on them. I also have one video I made that I might upload later this week that I made during my absense, so if interested, keep checking out my journal, I shall post when I upload it. Now with that all said, I'm off to play some more Final Fantasy IV.
