  • (witty title) 2003-03-28 19:55:07 I don't feel so much human as a soul shuttling between work and the oblivion of sleep, with an 80-minute round-trip commute.

    Spending a lot of time at work recently, thanks to the war but ironically moreso because of the NCAA tournament. I may not get home tonight until a bit after 1am.

    All AMVs on hold until I finish the Crew highlight reel; after that I'll get my M:I 2 clip uploaded.

    Meh. Wit has left me.

    But hey, I could use the overtime money. It's killing my editing time on the other hand.

    Currently working on a Columbus Crew highlight reel with a deadline of April 2.

    I've also got 4 videos up for download again via the Dangling Carrot.

    That is all...work is still tops today. 
  • Eight days a week 2003-03-03 15:08:52 Writing this from work, where I've been called in due to another editor being sick. If we had another full-time editor, instead of being shorthanded at the position since -before- September 2001, I might've been able to stay at home with my wife and actually -have- a two-day weekend. Well, at least it's overtime and I can always use the money.

    I'm now a donor to the Golden Donut cause, having made a $50 pledge and paid the first installment of that. If I have more money available, I'll contribute more above that.

    I have a complete version of my Disney DDR project finished, and I could declare it done as-is. However, I'd like to begin experimenting with After Effects and see what I can add in terms of text effects.

    Next up will probably be my M:I 2 clip, followed by a quickie for TommyRude's 80s contest if I have a spare couple of days. If not, the Columbus Crew highlight reel gets my full attention. 
  • I'm dreaming of a white... February. 2003-02-16 20:55:56 Level 3 snow alert for Fairfield County Ohio... that means roads are closed to all but emergency traffic, and you risk arrest by driving.

    I was all anxious about being called in to work until I saw that announcement, after which I had an ironclad alibi.

    "Why didn't you call in to volunteer?"
    "Well, I live 30 miles away from work in a county that has had its roads declared too dangerous to be driven upon."

    I think I'll take some MiniDV footage tomorrow to document the foot or so we'll probably have by morning. Snow's been falling ALL DAY with but a brief respite. Our 50-lb dog has the snow rise up to her chest.

    I can no longer see the raised garden beds I built and the pin flags in the yard marking the gas line are covered except for the tips.

    Think I'll go work on my DDDR track...
