LONG TIME NO POST

Well... with the new livejournal ID - checkm8 - I've been neglecting posting on AMV... So here it goes!
Been a while since I had a chance to work on my vids - my HD crashed in the middle of editing and I lost all my source vids. Project files are intact and I've recaptured my source, but it was not without panic. I'm finalizing a video for Megacon that I hope has the right effect. I've seen it so much by now since I've worked on it off and on for a few months now and it's gotten bland for me. It's got a lot going for it, but I'm too use to it.
I've got two other video projects to finalize. My main video for this year to go to JACON with is done, just needs a final render. Figures I finish the one for the con that is in June rather then the one in February. The other project is on the border of being abandonded... I really like it, it's really fast paced and glorifys a total p.o.s. anime, but it's so hard to snazz it up.
On another front, I have a new video idea I'd really like to do, but I need to either find raw footage or learn how to take out subtitles. Anyone have tips on how to remove subtitles? I believe my contact info is in my profile if you've got some neat tips :) The best I can come up with is false widescreen... but I've seen it done and it annoys me.

Hello everyone!
Lunch break at work so Journal update'n time. I'm so blasted today, oy. Tired as heck, and got this lovely lil' sinus thing going on, YEAH NOSE! On top of that, I've run out of my prescription meds for Asthma and Acid Reflux (Loving the lungs and stomach too baby!) so I'm just all around f-ed. It's ok though :) I've got music videos to edit and ideas to put into action. That's what it's all about right? Hmmm, I think I might be crazy.
Yeah, so anyway, was up late last night with David Violence and Sushi Boy Jared (the REAL Slim Sushi). Had a blast, was real fun to hang with people with similar interests. Yeah, sounds weird to say, but I have the damndest time finding people who share my interests. Lots of people may like anime and music, but not many can share my view of anime or my favorite kinds of music. Oh well, SB and DV were fun to hang with and I really enjoyed myself. DV said it best - definetly a cool group to hang with. Hopefully this weekend we can get back together again and explore my joyous booze collection and my personal love of bartending :)
Yeah, we had fun, they is cool like that. I love hanging with fellow editors too, it's fun to talk about vids and stuff. I only know a select few in person, but love a lot of vids, so I really would like to get to know more people in person. If Jared is right and there is a large clique in the big-O, then we need to get together, all hang and stuff, especially since there is a cool anime meeting ever Saturday at either Anime Sushi on the 1st and 3rd or JACO on the 2nd and 4th. Both great clubs :)
Oh, and I had a chance to hear more of Jared's stuff. I REALLY REALLY dig his style! LOL, I admire his ability to mix and stuff, envy him a bit too. I'll have to sneak into his studio one day and check out the composition process. I'd really like to learn more about how he does it. If you have not checked out his stuff, ya really should. Especially since he tells you that meat is important and is amazed at the big words you've learned, LOL! Seriously though, awsome stuff Jared. Did your album hit Wax Tree yet? I'll definetly indulge :)
Well, gonna get back to the stuff they are paying me for (since it ain't updating this journal.) Was fun to talk to whoever reads this, it's a nice distraction from work and stuff, even if I'm only talkin to me, LOL! Anyway, you guys take it easy and make some more great vids for me to watch, LOL - I can only make so many :)

Heya everyone!
It's your friendly neighborhood non-spider man. How's it goin? Well, I finished up two of my project vids Sunday. Rendered them out, reviewing them, making sure everything is in place, stuff like that. I need a better encoder though... I'll have to go find one later, hee hee.
Now to finish up the one other open project I have... that one is probably gonna take another couple of weeks I think. There is a lot too it and I have not even shoved it through After Effects yet to do the real fun stuff! I taking my time on it though. I've mentioned before its really a new style for me, something a bit foriegn, and it's go no lip sync, so it bores me, LOL!
Seriously though, it's going ok. Had some new ideas today, so I'm sure once I finish my only open vid now I'll be diving right into a new one. I just need to decide on the footage for the new one. Fun stuff....
Hmm, so yeah, other then that, my life is pretty bla. Got work, school, and vids. Money is real tight lately though, starting to get on my nerves and bring me down... guess that's why all I've been doing aside from school and work is vids... Weird huh? Oh well... guess it's my way of passing time from paycheck to paycheck so I'm not focusing on money, LOL!
I can't wait till next year's con run. It'll be my first AWA. I hope to meet a lot of ya there. Believe it or not, I've seen quite a few many of ya. I know what ya look like thanks to David V, hee hee. It's funny, he knows who I admir so he's like "And that's this guy, and that's the other". It's amazing how basically everyone who's vids I view regularly and stuff is on his tape... I need to get a host so my vids can be up.... GRRRRR!
So yeah, I guess I'm just blabbering again... Hmm, music... Hee hee! Take it easy and keep makin them vids!

Hey, who says there is no such thing as a free lunch?!?
Work just bought everyone lunch - Free for me at least.
Oh, and I got a coupon in the mail for buy one get one free luch. Since you already have to eat lunch, and I've eaten there before and it's good, and it's like 5 bucks for a normal one - you are still paying regular price so the free lunch is a free lunch.
