  • Anime Expo 2009 2009-07-09 18:01:36 Just a quick shout out to everyone that supported my video at Anime Expo this year. You guys are what determined the winners! If you voted for my video, you have my thanks. Sounds like everyone enjoyed the contest as a whole and I certainly enjoyed watching all the excellent videos this year.

     
  • Back up your data! 2009-07-09 04:11:02 This is just another friendly reminder from your local Geek Squad Agent, to please, for the love of all that is holy, back up your data!
    Use several external hard drives if you have to! Burn your project files to DVDs! Anything to make sure if one of your main drives fails during an edit that you have something to restore from in case something happens unexpectedly.

    This has happened to me too and as a result, I lost all the source files for my first 2 AMVs. Since then, I have made DVD and multiple other backups of all my source files for my last 2 AMVs. This allows for me to even remaster or re-edit them to my liking.

    This was brought up because of Chii's unfortunately situation. It could not have happened to the worst possible person, and I do hope she is able to recover from this and continue her work on future AMVs.

    Hard drives can fail at ANY TIME, so it is imperative that, unless you want to spend thousands of dollars trying to have your dead drive's data retrieved, please please backup your stuff!

  • New Video... maybe? 2008-11-12 17:19:20 Well, haven't done anything lately in the AMV realm. It is almost time for my yearly "Focus-on-nothing-else-but-AMV-stuff" mayhem again. This time, though, I have to worry about school and work at the same time... That and being the vice chair for a prolific anime convention as well... Fun times. =D

    Anyways, I hope my next project will be just as epic as my last, if not more so. I have a song and potential sources already in mind, so we'll see how I piece it together.
