JOURNAL: Cry Havok (Brad Bloss)

  • For those who care...or the eternal slacker post 2002-11-18 11:49:22 I know I have been inactive for a long time and there is a good reason why. My wife and I bought a house back in September and between moving in and me worrying about the money involved (MUCHO dinero) it kinda made me into a raving anal-retentive lunacit. I think I am fine now. I just didn't know where we were going to sit with all of our bills: gas, water, electric and so on. How does this pertain to my AMV's you ask? Being so paranoid about my bills made me keep my computer shut down for the majority of the week. When I started seeing our electric bill stay insanely low I realized that the electric water heater in our old apartment was just SUCKING the electricity from us. Now that that's not the case I am going to have to update my links because of Deerfield going to a paid service. It'll take time but it will be worth the effort.

Between the house and our infant daughter I have had ZERO time to work on anything new. During her naps though I have discovered my new addiction: Kingdom Hearts on the PS2. Check it out if you have not already.
  • New video?! 2002-07-18 15:11:39 I can't decide what to do for my next video. On one hand I want to do a comedy vid to Press Conference from a Chris Rock CD. On the other, I still have an overwhelming need to revisit Transformers: The Movie. The Press Conference vid would be funny, but keeping the footage consistant will be a chore. It's kinda hard to get anything done when you have a 2 month old daughter. I'm not complaining because I really love my little Arianna. And even if I did get time to do something it won't be a video. Packing to move into our first home pretty much monopolizes mine and my wife's time. Maybe in September I'll be settled enough to get started on the next project. Then again that will cut into football time. I just can't win!

I just saw Spriggan the other day. Pretty good concept, even though it borrows from SOOOOOO many other anime's, but then again what anime doesn't anymore? The animation was good and mixed the CGI and traditional cell animation well. The only gripe I have is on the audio of the DVD. The voices are so muted that I had to turn the surround sound up so loud that when any action happened I had to turn it down again! Up-down-up-down-up-down!! AAAHHHHH!! It sucked. I need something new to watch. Any recomendations? I am probably going to check out Cowboy Bebop. Heard a lot about it but don't have much time anymore for movies. And I usually want to rent them before I buy them which isn't possible sometimes. I might have to try to find it online. Oh, well. Back to work!
  • FTP 2002-07-17 08:28:03 My server was hosed again. I need a new computer! The old PII 400 is getting a little tedious. I had to reboot my machine to get it to work again. My links are working again! *the peasants rejoice*
  • FTP 2002-07-12 17:48:27 Well, the Circle of Brotherhood video should work now. Sorry to everyone who couldn't get it.
  • Circle of Brotherhood 2002-07-12 13:31:25 My dumb ass fiddled with the settings on my FTP server last night and killed the link for my Circle of Brotherhood video! I got kinda side-tracked while feeding my daughter and forgot to test the new setting. Aahhhhh! I'll have to find time to change it tonight so people can see the vid.
