JOURNAL: Aetherfukz (Chris Sperl)

  • nothing 2002-12-05 08:39:40 Well... not much going on here... I still have to go to work everyday, but that isn't that bad, because I have a 2MBit connection there, which is pretty cool for downloading AMVs and the like.
But my system doesn't work with any MJPEG codec I tried so far... I don't know why, normally I solved every possible problem that a computer could have... but this one :?
Well, I de-installed Premiere and have to re-install it these days, maybe this works (I don't think so, but you never know when working under Windows ;)

And, as always, hard disk space is going low rapidly. I thought that a 60GB for my files and the programs/games, and another 30GB for DVD rips, AMV sources and the like would be enought, but... you simply CAN'T have enough hard disk space. When I got only 20gigs back then, I thought "How should I get those much files on my PC??" and after a few month, the disk was full (of spam :). And this happens with every hard drive I have...

Anyway, 10 minutes until I can go home, so I will go for another cigarette to pass the time by ^_^

    Peace out,
    ~Aetherfukz
  • Fuck my System 2002-11-29 09:08:43 Well, my computer just won't play the quick-n-dirty MJPEG files I encoded for the editing in Premiere. It just crashed all the time!

Oh, I'm so desperate to start editing the new video any time, and now some weird error stops me from bringing my imagination to video... -_-
  • Crappy VHS cutting! 2002-11-18 06:04:21 OMFG!
Today I have to cut out a new video of a few separate, old and crappy looking VHSs for work. But not with some fancy analog cutting equipment, I have to do with 2 video recorders. Just the plain ol' way.
Anyway this really sucks, because I just can't fast-forward, and everthing in there is spanish so I have no clue what's going on ^^

And I have just gotten over the first 2 month of this one-year civil service behemoth!

Hell, I think I have to cope with it...
  • En-Coding Prob*zzzz* 2002-11-17 12:22:29 Oh Hell!
Now I ripped the End of Eva, tried to get it to low-qual MJPEG-AVIs to work with in Premiere, but every Player/Editor just crashes with the avis... strange, I don't think I did anything wrong, actually...

Ripping just for DivX'ed AVIs was much easier than spending time with IVTC'ing, FPS adjustment and those things. But I like it...
  • DVD Pleasure 2002-11-14 15:43:35 Ok, just a breakdown:

Visions of Escaflowne: the movie - I don't know the series as of yet, but the movie truely rocked. Got me fully into Gaia!

Princess Mononoke: OMFG! This really is the 'Star Wars of Animated Feature'. Epic, deep-thoughted (word?), and gorgeous animations. I love the issue of the movie, with mother nature striking back at the industrilization (again, word..?) of mankind.

End of Evangelion: Well, what could I say, you all know it rocks ;)

Now and Then, Here and There: I only watched the first 4 eps as of yet, it seems to be a bit slow with the story-telling (but not as slow as DBZ, hehe :) but it's got some deep issues and I just can't wait to watch the other eps!
