Leaving Behind
2005-04-26 22:15:39
Ahh, I have a Blog on my website that people know about, however since they know about it, and they know who I am in real life, I can't put everything that I'm feeling on there. That said, here's the following:
=============================================
Lately I've felt depressed mainly because it seems like no one outside my family truly cares about me. I mean I can't hold on to any of my friends and the ones I have, I don't feel as if they truly have my back through thick and thin. Plus every new person I meet that I think i'm friends with, it almost always falls apart. I can't seem to keep things together.
Not to mention the fact that people I know in geek circles that are way older than me don't seem to respect my opinion or anything. I mean all I ever get is confrontation. It stinks! I mean once I put my opinion of something on the mailing list and someone responds - "Ya, we (the mailing list) have the ability of solving that problem...", GAHHHH, I was just saying how I felt about it, I was NOT expecting anything to be done about it, what the heck!!
I seriously have a need to find someone that I can depend on, someone who I know cares about me, and in turn who will accept and wants me to care about them. I care about all of my friends, even the not-so great ones. Why? I don't know sometimes, but I do for some reason.
Plus since it's nearing the end of the semester, I have a feeling that I am not going to be able to keep in touch with some of the people I've ment and want to keep in touch with. Hence why I hate it when the end of the semester comes around.
Another wierd thing is that it seems like whenever I am having a good day with my grades and classes, etc.. my social life totally stinks. That's the way it's always been for as far back as I can remember.
On the plus side I actually finally had some technical recognition in my VB.net class today!! For once in my life I have some credit on knowing how to do something technical from actual technical people :)!!
Hence at least something good has happened!
We'll see what happens I guess, peace.

Dorama
2003-08-20 16:59:12
Now I'm pretty sure that most people that watch amv's have at least seen one martial arts movie - most likely starring either Jackie Chan or Jet Li. Yet I'm not sure how many people are aquainted with what are called dorama's(drama's) in Japan? If you've ever seen any live action anime series - they're mostly like those. Lately some really good ones I've come across aren't just Japanese - in fact I've found one really good one in Japanese, Chinese and Korean respectively.
1. Beautiful Days (Korean):
This drama is insanely great!!! It's very emotional and "deep", especially at the beginning. Yet as the show progresses there are happy moments that wil make you smile!
Intro Summary: Basically this drama is all about two girls that consider themselves sisters (even though they're not related by blood). The older one is very reserved and dignified. The younger one is very bold and proud. Some might say that she's not afraid of anything or anyone. Her dream is to become a music star despite all the things that are agaist her! ^_^
the other side of the story revolves arount two blood related siblings(sister and brother) and their father, along with the father's wife and her blood related son. The father's son is one of the integral leaders of his father's company Victory records. The father's daughter is a kinda out of control person very much like the younger sister of the pair I originally talked about. While the mother's son is very protective of his mother (since the other two siblings don't regard her with much if any kindness) and loves music even though the father won't let him be part of the music business - and instead has him pursue medicine to become a doctor.
To make things short(er) basically how the story seems to be progressing is all about the feelings that occurr within two families that are not totally blood related and the problems that that causes. It also delves into the search of their dreams.
2. Monkey King (Chinese)
This is hilarious! I've only seen the first episode but it's hilarious! It's all about this monkey (who looks like a human) who becomes the king of his group of monkeys. He teaches his group a song and hw to fight. He also goes out and searches for the magical pwoers of immortality. That's just the first episode!!!
3. You're Under Arrest (Japanese Live Action)
I got hooked on this series very quickly. It's supposedly a live action rendition of the anime You're Under Arrest. I've never seen the anime (well accept for a movie which deals with America not Japan) but judging from the movie - it's pretty much like the anime.
Anyway it's all about two female traffic police officers who are pretty tough and wind up getting themselves into trouble when they find themselves in situations that traffic division doesn't have any business being in. It also delves into how pretty much everyone in the show is trying to find love! :)

C Prog & Whistle, Heatguy J
2002-12-08 01:43:32
Well finals week ends this Monday so after my C Programming (Oyy - I need to cram BIG TIME for this exam seeing as I really do not know C & this is an intro course and I've never done programming before and I'm lost - and nothing on the internet helps - thankfully though I do know one guy at school who REALLY helped me a lot on this one program with structures so thank goodness for that - I still need to figure out everything else though for the final - oyyyy ) exam I'll be FREE!!!
Anyway on another note I wish I mapped out where I was going before acftually going there. I traveled to Anime Sushi's ( www.animesushi.com) presentation of anime at the Seminole County, FL library to watch anime for the first time and ended up there late, they had codec problems playing a few files like the feature which was going to be Patlabor 3 and they cut it shorter than normal so I only saw one ep of one series - but that wasn't the bad part. The bad part came when I tried to travel back to UCF (Univercity of Central Florida) and got lost and ended up asking for directions at the gas station. Thank goodness for gas stations! Have you ever wondered how they just automatically seem to know all the ways to get everywhere in the vicinity? I mean it's great! They're soooo helpful. Without them - like say if the gas stations were totally computer automated there would be no one to ask about directions. Anyway finally made it back and tomorrow err today it'll be time to cram for C!
On to ANIME!! Current anime's I'm hooked on:
1) Whistle! I don't know why-I never really loved soccer when I was younger I didn't dislike it either - I though it was decent - ok - I didn't have any qualms about it. I really liked basketball and considered hockey or soccer some other sports that I wouldn't mind "trying" to play. Other than that though I really can't stand sports (football, baseball (my worst sport), or any of the other popular sports) Roller blading , biking, and racing though are interesting.
I'm only up to episde 2 on the sereis but I have seen some of the older episodes - actually only one - episode 21 & 22 or 22 & 23 the two episodes where they play the game in the rain with and it'r pretty neck and neck and they change the main character's position with Mizuno's. It's REALLY GOOD!!!
2) Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex- the intro song: Inner Universe by Yoko Kanno totally rules! I at first must say though that I was disappointed with this series due to the fact that it didn't seem to have as much of an indepth technological feel to it as the original (the movie) diid. Then though as I watched the next two episodes it just kinda grew on me. I guess I kinda just had to get use to it. It is a really good series though!
Another series that's worth checking out if you like Ghost in The Shell would be Heatguy Jay due to the fact that it also deals with cyborgs and technology.
3) Tekkaman Blade - my old fave I'm getting reaquainted with and finally getting to see the other half of the series! ^_^
Well I gotta jet to dreamland to get up for Church tomorrow and then go and cram for C - ja ne.

C Programming & Samurai Deeper Kyo
2002-11-03 16:04:11
YEAHH I finished my last C Program without having to ask for anyone's help! :) Normally I have to ask about something or other in order to get my programs to work but this time I didn't! I did get some pointers from the bulletin board for the class though from what other people asked and what other people mentioned. It works!! ^_^. I just hope that I get a good grade on it! I didn't think it work but it did! Oyy though this week I gotta mess with an Anthropology test & a C Programmming Test on Wednesday plus I have kinda a mini Lab Write up due on Wednesday for my Bio class.
Plus I gotta desperately go shopping I have like no desert, milk, green tea, orange juice, bread, or frozen dinners left. I got a couple of cans of canned food, a little ham, cheese, crackers, a pack of ramen noodles, and some soda - that's pretty much it.
As far as anime goes I'm currently hooked on Samurai Deeper Kyo & Sister Princess ^_^. Ohh and I'm reaquainting myself with my two of my 3 favorite series (X TV & Tekkaman Blade :)). Well I gotta go get some food, so ja ne!
