I get hit for this crap? Wow. Anyways, I was looking at some of the other journal, and I noticed that a lot of people talk abouth their lives personally. If you want that from me, you better leave. Oh, yeah, I really only hate bittorrent anime, 'cause I can't get it to work. :P

Why?
I mean, chances are, I f the series goes good in japan, it will most likely get brought over here. Some times you won't even have to hait that long. I mean, I've even seen people ask for Cowboy Bebop fansubs. Why? The dub's great.
Why am I writing this? Just see the story of Joe Japanese.
Meet Joe Japanese.

Joe lives in a cramped apartment with his wife and two kids.
Joe also does inbetween and clean-up animation at GAINAX.
GAINAX gets a new project and Joe gets right to work.
Joe works his ass off for an entire year in order to keep food on the table and the rent paid. Once the year is over, Joe is proud of the work he has done and the project goes on to be a huge theatrical hit.
Months later the DVD comes out.
The number of actual sales is far below than what GAINAX projected because of rampant bootleg sales and fansub downloads. GAINAX has to make cuts in order to minimize the financial loss.
Joe Japanese, and many other hard working but faceless shlubs are fired.
No, the bootlegs won't make GAINAX go under, but Joe is thrown out into the street. He can no longer support his family and is evicted from his apartment.
He asks "Why do fireflies die so young?" than collapses at a train station.
This is just one example of how bootlegs affect the anime industry. Instead of paying for the hard work and dedication of Joe Japanese, your DVD dollar pays some ass pirate from Hoboken, New Jersey who has criminal connections to Chinatown.
Next time your ordering a bootleg, think of Joe Japanese.
See, that's what you could be doing to poor, innocent, in-between animators.

Really, though. Some fansubs I can agree with. Some might not get released over here, and I guess it's okay to maybe download a couple shows.
Fansubs I don't mind too much, but bootlegs are 3v1l. I shall burn the bootleggers.
