Problem with editing mkvs and mp4s -- FIXED

Seniorita Project (new) -- ONGOING
Yep,these 3 last days were really good.After 2 years of editing only with SD avis and raws,now I can use HD footage.And I have a lot of hopes for this new project.I have been editing like mad during Sunday...
The thesis is going well too,hope to get it finished by the end of October.Too bad that it takes most of my time and I can't edit more...
Now that the dvd drives are back to normal,I reinstalled Resident Evil 2 in my pc and my brother borrowed a PS2 from his friend in order to play Resident Evil - Code Veronica X.The good old days...
Oh and new anime season this week.

What the hell?
First it was announced a second season for FMA.
And today,upon finishing the last chapter of Hajime No Ippo manga,it was reported that coming January 2009,there's gonna be a second anime season...

One good thing and two bad things the last days:
-Good
I found the mood for editing again after being inactive for several days(make it months better).I kinda abandoned (for now) my last project which is 75% complete and began another new with a song I simply love.Let's see if it'll progress smoothly.I have also been editing quite a lot for my collaboration project with nikolakis.
-1st bad
3 days ago,both my dvd drivers stopped working.They disappeared from "my computer" too while they are still visible from the system.The troubleshooting said about "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)" but it's not like I made any software/hardware changes during the last days.Apart from installing Service Pack 3 for XP but that happened over a week ago.
So far the only real problem with this situation is that I cannot get the footage from my anime dvds collection for the collaboration project with nikolakis.So now that I got my mood back,a technical problem arises...
-2nd bad
This happened just 1 hour ago.My aunt called and told me that our family dog,which lives in our village and keeps company to my grandparents,has been killed.Arapitsa(that was her name) was pregnant but a fucking bastard put something in her food.Dammit,if I find the one who did it,I'm gonna burn him alive...
We've raised this dog since her birth (5 years ago) just to get it killed by a maniac.I have photos of her since she was a puppy and every year I'd take a lot more.Although me and my family have been visiting my grandparents only 20-25 days per year,she'd always follow us whenever we'd go and she had a special liking to me and my father.She was the smartest dog my grandparent ever had although she wasn't of any race.Just an ordinary,beautiful dog who loved being caressed and would always make us smile.
I remember one night that I was outside of our courtyard with a book studying.It was the book of Electromagnetism,my most hated subject of the university lessons.Like she could understand my feelings towards the book,she suddenly came to me,grabbed the book from my hands and started running a bit far.Seemed like she didn't want to see me so annoyed...

You were a marvellous dog and I won't forget you for giving me so many good memories of my little time in my village.
