First victory for Greece in Mundial final phase
2010-06-17 12:40:55
Finally,the first victory..
We beat Nigeria by 2-1 although losing 0-1 from the 15' due to a stupid goal.Thank god we didn't give up just like we did in the match with Korea. That was one of the few really interesting matches so far in the 2010 Mundial and the first one after many years that pumped me into watching Greece's football yet again.
Oh god,I so remember the days of glory of Euro 2004 now....Coming as the total underdogs and becoming champions...
Greece,we stand by you!!!

Seriously,this was mind-blowing...
There's no way to describe the amazingness that this movie offers. But with how things happened in the end, what the hell will the producers do for the 3rd movie??
And I have to wait another 2 years for it...

End of the full metal era
2010-06-11 18:37:08
It's been a long road, and it was the greatest company ever.FMA manga has ended and in 3 weeks the final episode of the second anime will also be broadcasted. The full metal alchemist era has come to an end...
I don't remember when I started watching the first anime but I do remember how it amazed me and how quickly I finished it...
How I then picked up the great manga and read chapter after chapter...
Then the new anime came out and I was overjoyed once again...
Because it was 10 times better than the first and followed the manga...
Well, all good things must come to an end eventually and this is no exception. And I'm really glad that unlike other shonen anime which started great, this one didn't become rubbish in the process of putting needless fillers, ridiculous opponents, extending the story in every worst possible way and so on...
Hiromu Arakawa and full metal universe,I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all these happy hours spent on you.And for my nickname too!!
ps:I'm such a sucker for an all-out happy ending like the one that Hiromu Arakawa offered.Yeah, chapter 108 was great!!

It's over...so what???
2010-06-02 09:22:20
Army duties finished 2 weeks ago.Looking back at it now,it was pretty fun sometimes.Always surrounded by friends,we really had a great time together.
Marching inside the mountain of Olympus (you should definitely visit it,all of you - it's truly a residence of gods!!),drinking wine and beer until we would collapse in bed, playing greek and foreign music with a guitar inside the camp - really sweet memories...
Well, this is over now. These holidays are unfortunately over in the worst period ever.I've been searching for a job since I came back home but it's really very difficult to find any openings in any field in Greece. The economy is in the worst situation ever,we are under complete control of the International Monetary Depository and European Union wants us to diminish our national debt and become more competitive.
This can be achieved through heavy cuts in salaries, pensions and by applying more taxes.Yep,that's 2010 for Greece...
Anyway,to change subject,I decided to start another amv. It's been a long time since my previous one but lately I get a lot of ideas and I cannot resist to the urge of making one..^^

Story of a soldier,Easter update
2010-03-31 05:12:58
So,it's finally come to this.9 months of army almost passed.48 days left for freedom.
And now the real thing on question is what to do after it.
I'm 24 years old, have graduated from a top rate university in my country and I'm about to complete my army duties too.The premises are good but the climax in Greece is terrible.Economic crisis, 30% unemployment in ages 24-29 and minimum wages.Plus my family is in complete turmoil due to my brother's problems...
Postgraduate studies abroad seem like a solution at the moment but the paperwork I have to collect while also being in the army is a bit of a problem.Transcipts in original language and in english, reference letters,cv,interviews and stuff.
My plans for the summer are quite vague too.I have originally planned to go to Boston,at a friend's house, for about 10-14 days during June and in Crete during August. But I can't stop thinking of the cost behind the first trip...
Anyway, time to leave.Gotta go to the centre of Athens for some business and then back home to pick up my stuff, take the train and leave for Litochoro where my "beloved" army camp awaits me.
Yeah, this year I get to spend Easter as a soldier. No big deal really,I also spent New Year's Eve over there and my birthday.
