VCAs thoughts

Back home for 9 days this time.
This will be my last time home before Easter and I got a lot of things to take care of before going back to the ultimate boredom of the army life.Well,99 days left over there,I can manage it off somehow.If it weren't for the good friends there,I don't think I could stand all the officers and captains and army personnel that can simply make you go crazy in only a day.
In the mean time,I got home just in time for watching live the results of the VCAs.I'm really happy that Fragrance got best collaborative as this was the only prize me,Marko and Steven even thought of winning.Thanks to all people for voting us as this might be the last amv we will ever make.
Marko is filled with uni staff,same goes for Steven and as for me,I have started to show less interest in anime/amvs over the last months.Getting a job after the army is what matters now....
About the other VCAs results,I can't agree with about 40% of them but still the results are rather accurate even with all the subjectivity that rules the VCAs.The russian editing block has given us some of the greatest amvs this year but I hoped to see more diversity in the vids listed as winners.Well,that happens every time in the VCAs so no more talking is needed...
I'm also dissapointed for my friends Nikolakis and Animated,their videos of whom,deserved at least one prize each.
I can't accept 9 months of hard work and immense beta-testing would add up to nothing,especially for Nikolakis.Talking to both of them right now on msn,their thoughts and future actions kinda summarize into what Chii said in her last journal entry...

Finally home for 5 days

Over a month since my last journal entry and I don't have much to say...
I'm back home with a 5-days leave.Sunday morning I should be back at the camp.
I've passed my first month at the army camp of Litochoro and thankfully the situation over there is pretty good.I'm a writer at one of the offices and I have a lot of things to do until 3pm but after then boredom strikes.That is if you are on duty so most of time is spent on books,music and discussions with the other soldiers.If you aren't on duty then you can get out of the camp for 5-12 hours depending on the day...
When you're out,the good thing is the small distance between Litochoro and other big cities of North Greece.Katerini,Thessaloniki,Veroia and Larisa are all within 1 hour away from the army camp so during the exits from the camp I spend my time there.Litochoro is a pretty small town after all...
Cafe,Food and Booze - that's the usual exit of a greek soldier
I rarely get into an internet cafe and that's only for checking mails and facebook.Sadly,I keep on getting farther away from the anime/amvs world...
On another note,I start to notice that things change drastically in Greece concerning the reception of anime from youngsters.The 2 main anime forums in Greece keep on getting more members and meetings are almost on a weekly basis.A lot of j-music and cosplay parties too...
Still,the majority only watches the classic anime trio - Naruto,Bleach,,Death Note - and kinda ignores all other classics.Clannad for example is unknown here.
Anyway,that's for now.
Time to watch several of the amvs that I've lost during the last 3 months^^
