Thesis Final stages and birthday getting close

Research projects are stressful and time-consuming.I must have collected over 150MB with reports and articles concerning wind farms,costs,technical requirements and other stuff,let alone normal books.Yeah it's all good and nice to learn new things...
BUT still I've been writing this damn thesis since May 2008 and it's starting to get on my nerves.Finish already dammit...I need a fucking break from everything.
In the meantime my birthday is getting close (23 January).Wonder if I'll get any present this year or I give you one XD XD

Greek rock lives

These last two days I've been to clubs with live music and was pleasantly surprised.I regained my faith in greek rock and I'm sure that a lot of new artists and bands can continue the legacy that Tripes, Ksylina Spathia, Katsimixaioi, Papakonstantinou, Ioannidis and Maxairitsas left behind.
I also went to a live concert performed by my cousin's band.Damn,they're really cool.Gotta get an autograph next time... XD

It's nice with all the food and booze these days but I think I'm gonna need a diet after we get off the holidays season.And today I'm organizing a feast at my house... -

30 December 2008, drinking a coffee and making adjustments to my thesis
Another year passed by, with its good and bad moments.The first semester of 2008 was too busy while the second one was rather relaxing,giving me some time to think about my future and my life so far.
This is the last year of a life that has been written for the vast majority of students.Primary school,middle school,high school,university.So far,so good.No problems.
But what lies after the university is the question and that's my personal challenge for 2009.Three different choices and I'm not really sure for either of them.
1)Army service for a year starting on May 2009
2)Post-graduate studies starting on September 2009
3)Serious job seeking with only asset my university degree
Army - I don't feel like joining the army so soon,but it's something that needs to be done in order to find a decent job.If I decide to do so,I must contact them until late January so I have a bit more than a month to decide...
Post-graduate studies - I'd really like to study more on energy engineering and go to Germany, Denmark or Netherlands to do a MSc on renewable sources of energy.These countries are considered the Mecca for energy engineers but the problem is that I don't understand German.
What's more,the problems at home are serious and I don't wanna burden my family with more worries and cost.They constantly advise me to leave and that I should not worry but it's not so easy.I'm afraid of what might happen if this sad climax at home continues...
Third,the application for the foreign universities require a lot of paperwork and have a strict deadline.In the meantime,the vast majority of universities in Greece are closed for a month now due to the murder of the 16-year-old boy on 6 December. And when they open after Christmas holidays,the closing seems to have a next phase.
Job-seeking - I could always go for it but the economic situation in Greece sucks and having completed your army services is necessary in like 90% of cases.So I could only go for temporary jobs.
