JOURNAL: trythil (💩 💩)

  • Sarah 2003-05-27 01:01:38 I don't know if you were referring to me, but if you were, that "out of charity, I'm sure" comment hurts. I really would like to meet the majority of people on this site.

Oh, by the way, you're wrong on all self-defamatory statements :P
  • holy shit 2003-05-26 08:50:17 This is ridiculous. This is what high-action sequences on the Rayearth DVDs look like:

A PNG version of just the VirtualDub window:

I'm sorry, but this is crap. I don't care how old Rayearth is -- I've seen better results come out of DVDs of far older anime.

This is going to be fun to work with...
  • hahaha! 2003-05-22 07:28:13 "daniel looks so worried and tense... dan is just chilling. I am sure you could not have pulled a stright pin out of daniel's ass with a tractor he was that nervous. I am told the results.... so i prep daniel's video to be shown once the result is announced... and the judges stall a bit... finally dan seams a bit nervous... and all the colous has left daniel's face so much he looks more pale than me."

Best desciption of Daniel's mood in that tense judgement phase _ever_.
  • Chaos Angel 2003-05-21 15:11:50 Oh, technically, I'm sure that they'll be able to translate all the animation into live-action CG and the like perfectly. The problem, as you know, is that effects mean nothing without story, and I just can't think of any way that they could preserve the myriad of elements in the Evangelion saga in a two-hour movie.
  • they didn't talk about this at Anime Central 2003-05-21 09:19:34 http://www.advfilms.com/news/index.asp?c=&i=921

Somebody tell me how they're going to compress all the depth, complexity, and general mindfuckery of 26 TV episodes and two movies into a single live-action movie...
