Ugh...

.....I should try updating more often. Well...I have A new idea. and it's stuck in my head so much that I'm going to act upon it.
I know someone else claims to be working on it, however it's been close to six months I think since he last updated his AMV entry for it....so here goes.
Key the Metal Idol to Bring me to Life by Evanescence.
The ideas been stuck in my head for awhile now, and since the Key dvds were the 1st dvds I ever bought, and remain a fond memory in my heart, I figured why not. Maybe it'll be better than my last one. Less spoilers. No promises though.

I haven't been able to make anything new lately. The introduction of both school and work caused my life to become turmoil. Trying to balance those and my social life made working on anything but those things completely out of the question. But I quit my job due to issues with scheduleing, and until I find a new one, I have lots of freetime. I hope to use it to make another amv or two. I just need to get some ideas. I might rekindle and old one a friend suggested. I also need to change my studio's name as the one I'm under belongs to someone who decided he wanted to talk trash behind my back. Oh well. Techinally, the name is mine, as I came up with it. But I've got many new one's I can use now.
The holiday seasons are upon us....I could try making a holiday amv....hmm...

Frozen Dreams

YEAH! I gots me first AMV done and it only took me 18 full hours to complete. I feel kinda bad, though, cause it's a massive spoiler. It spoils most of the series Kanon, at least one of the major story arcs in it.
It portrays Ayu and Yuuichi's relationship from beginning to the end of the series. I aimed for drama and seriousness with the romance thrown in. A lot of clips lined up with the music without me trying for it, so that was cool. Such as the part where Ayu flies into the air and disappears....totally not me. I did not time that.
I ended up compressing it twice with Xvid and compressed the audio. Before I compressed it it made up a whopping 7 gigs. a 5 minute video segment taking up 7 gigs of space. That was nutz....specially since I only had 11 gigs on it before I exported the avi from premiere. But I compressed the video with Virtualdub and got it down to 70 megs, and then compressed the video and audio bringing it down to 40 megs. If I switched it over to mpeg I bet I could drop it another 10 or so, but the quality is already not the best in the world and I think I'll sacrifice low filesize.
It feels good to get something completed finally.

New Kanon AMV
2003-06-05 07:59:55
Well...it's been quite some time. I feel that I'm doing well though. I just ripped all of Kanon off a DVD, minus sound and subs, deinterlaced it with avs, compressed it, etc. The rips are good quality. not great quality, but good quality. I have a good AMV in mind, and have parts of it done already. So it looks like my first official AMV is going to be of Kanon.

Fresh and clean

I'd like to start making AMVs...it's just somewhat difficult for me to do. Anime that I rip from dvd is rather choppy after I put a compressor on it. Soon as I learn how to remove subtitles from stuff I d/led then I'll be set on other things. It's getting ideas down that's the problem.
