JOURNAL: starwind01 (Scott Vierck)

  • 2002 around the corner... 2001-12-30 13:19:57 Well, I made it back home here in Southern Cal, and I have to say thank you God for allowing me to be rid of that cursed dial up modem I use at my mom's place. Man, that computer is awful. Anyways, no more whining, I am home. :P

I am getting ready to start making music videos again. I am gonna have to go through some songs and lay my ideas on the table. I am not too sure which one I want to start work on most, so it will be a tough call.

I also started that fanfic I spoke of while I was on vacation. I am currently on chapter 4, so it is coming along well. Should be online before too long. ;)

I suppose that is about it for this journal entry. I hope everyone has fun New Year's Eve. If you plan on getting plastered, then make sure to stay off the roads. You might hit me on my way home from my girlfriend's. xP Happy Holidays!
  • Strider is angered 2001-12-20 18:14:20 I don't understand the people who said they didn't remove anything from the book for the new LOTR movie. They left out a ton of the cool details. Where the frell was Tom Bombadil? and the conspiracy as well? Those are two things I think belong in the movie. I also thoroughly disliked how they "oh by the way" mentioned Golem's full story. *sigh* As a movie, yes it was quite good. I only wish I hadn't read any of the book yet. It would have been much better if I hadn't known what all was missing. It almost seems as though Jackson made it more suitable for simpletons by smashing together large amounts of details at once. >_<
  • Merry dol, derry dol says Tom Bombadil! 2001-12-18 23:47:39 I can't wait to see Lord of the Rings at the end of this week with my friends. I hope it rocks as much as the previews make it seem it will. All I want is for it to do the book justice.

Anyways, I have been working on some Legend of Zelda fanfiction during my winter break. I am up to the forth chapter, and I think it is coming along well. I will be sure to post a link up when the completed fic is online.

As for music video work, as I have said in previous journal entries, look for Huzzah! Inc. to come on strong in 2002, but no sooner as I am visiting family for the holidays and my partners are collecting the proper equipment to start their careers. I have ideas coming out of the wazoo, so I do not have a shortage on inspiration. Let's hope my equipment cooperates with me when I get back to creating in January. xP
  • There's a gremlin on the wing! 2001-12-15 00:06:01 I always think of gremlins when I am traveling on a plane. Crazy little fellas. xP

Anywho, my plane trip on Tuesday caused my worst jet lag to date. I didn't come out of it until late last night...err...early this morning I suppose. Anyways, now that I am out of it I can begin my real vacation. :P There is much Christmas shopping to be had tomorrow, my friends, and I shall be partaking in the insanity. You gotta love being given large amounts of money from your mother who then requests you buy presents for several relatives. Well, I am gonna house break my cousins in the ways of anime, since I am choosing the gifts. My cousins like it anyways, so I will have fun buying them things I have yet to see. Just don't tell anyone that these presents are as much mine as they are theirs. ;) Lol, I am kidding of course, but I will still have the privelege of enjoying their presents after they are officially opened tee hee hee. I wonder if everyone else has this much fun shopping for other people. I am gonna have to put some serious thought into my girlfriend's gift though. I know the guys out there know how that feels. Anyways, good luck to all my fellow shoppers.
  • I sat on an elf today... 2001-12-13 11:05:49 EK: I wouldn't be so hard on myself if I were you. All of the artwork I have seen you produce is wonderful. Sometimes if I get into a rut or a "writer's block" type of thing, I just take a break from that and focus my attention on other hobbies/tasks. You may just need a temporary break from drawing until you are ready to go again.

Well, I am back home for the holidays. Luckily the rain and humidity of Louisiana is still the same way I remember it. -__- Nevertheless, I shall still have a wonderful Christmas I am sure of it. I have already surprised most of my family (since I kept my return a pretty hush hush secret). The various reactions I have gotten have been quite amusing. I need to spend my free time working on that fanfic while I am here, and I still have to finish off Lord of the Rings before seeing the movie. Only a couple of weeks till Christmas!
