  • Ah, caffeine 2003-11-22 09:13:32 Well, this is officially the. . . 11th hour straight that I've spent working on my latest AMV. . . I think. Despite my insomnia, if it wasn't for the caffeine, I'd have passed out a while ago.

But this project is important. Both to me, and to the person I'm dedicating it to. I just wanted to say to that person: don't worry, now that Thanksgiving break is here, I should have this AMV finished in time for x-mas without too much of a problem. Be warned that the file might end up being huge though; the song is pretty long, and I'm going to great lengths to ensure that both the sound and video quality are as good as I can get them. I really hope you like it. :)
  • mixed bag 2003-11-13 01:48:44 Well, once again I've run into something that makes absolutely no sense. I managed to get everything sorted out with my checking account, but according to the receipt, my account was never overdrawn to begin with. Also, I got a new card in the mail today, which leads me to believe that there was a significantly good reason for revoking my old one. Who knows, maybe someone stole the number of my old one?

The trip there wasn't fun though. While the temps are finally above freezing, it's been raining all day. By the time I made it to the bank, my head and lower legs were drenched. (lost my umbrella, but I've got a waterproof trenchcoat). Then the wind picked up, and made the temperature feel like it was about 10 degrees (Faranheit). You know when you eat ice cream too fast and get a brain freeze? I had the unfortunate experience of getting one naturally. Not fun. I wouldn't be surprised if I get sick now.

Plus my apartment complex has been having blackouts off and on throughout the day, which is why I'm just now getting to this. So some bad things happened, but I got the most important stuff taken care of. Thankfully.
  • well that didn't work 2003-11-11 17:19:46 Since I've hardly been able to sleep lately, I resolved to stay up all night yesterday so that I could hopefully make it to the bank and back before class today. But as luck would have it, I ended up drifting off without even realizing it around 8:00 or so. I woke up sometime after 4:00pm, missing all my classes and any chance of making it to the bank before it closed. Guess I'll try again tomorrow.
  • This ever happen to you? 2003-11-10 23:06:48 Well, apparently I'm some $120 or so in debt. I didn't find out until yesterday when I went to check my balance, and the ATM ate my card. As luck would have it, the various companies to whom I pay my monthly bills seem to be take forever to cash the checks I send them. As such, I thought I actually had money in my account, (I'd checked a few days before and I supposedly had a positive, if small balance), when I didn't.

And as luck would have it, I got the statement from my bank telling me that I'm overdrawn today. . . after my card got eaten. Interestingly, a $225 deposit which was supposed to be made didn't show up. So, I've gotta walk a good 3 miles or so to the bank tomorrow to get everything settled. Figures I need to go grocery shopping now too; my fridge is empty, and I've got about $2 in my pocket right now.

This wouldn't even have happened if I didn't have to quit my job on campus. Damn insomnia's to blame for that. It's kinda hard to wake up and head to work at 8:30 when you finally managed to fall asleep at 5:00.

My life sucks, but at least I've got some decent reasons to bitch about it.
