FedEx confirms that the DVD has arrived, waiting on some sort of confirmation from the Otaku Video people.

Still riding the immense high from See Ya Later, Naota. Every time I watch it, I get this adrenaline rush that the first two videos couldn't come CLOSE to matching.
But, it's finished. My dad FedExed the DVD to OtakuVideo this morning, so all that's left is to wait and see if I made the Otakon Cut.
And I have to figure out what I'm doing next.
Decided to drop out of the Linkin Parkject. I don't think I want to do any dark/dreary/mid-tempo/angsty songs for a while. Happy songs are good.
Which is why my next video will most likely be the Bebop vid I'd had in mind. Then I'll either do the Rei and/or Lain vid, or... well, maybe by then I'll have a new idea. Buying Trigun soon, maybe I can get some inspiration from that.
In anime-related news, study of Japanese is progressing well. Saito-sensee confirmed my suspicion that hiragana would be used on cell phone text messaging. I think I may try to decode a couple cellphone shots in Lain for fun.

Tom's second-to-latest post about not putting his work online was a shocker. Will truely be depressing, especially now that I'll need to trek out to cons or special-order discs from him if I want to see any more of hsi work =) I still play Fight! an average of once or twice per day.
As far as my AMVs, the FLCL footage has been... well, just sitting there. Mainly because it's getting near finals, and mainly b/c I wanted to finish my documentary (which i did, finally!) first. The documentary is done, aside from some veryminor title edits.
However, it means that if I want to submit it to Otakon, i'm gonna have to do a marathon session or three. I may end up holding off on that, because quite frankly I don't think I'm up for going to Otakon quite yet. The video will be done eventually, though. and NME finally IMed me about the Linkin Parkjekt, so I may have to work on my demo for that first.
In anime-related news, if all goes well and UPenn got my application on time and such, I start taking Japanese classes in a week and a half. Should be fun. "Dan, turn that anime off and do your homework!" "But i'm <i>studying...</i>"
