- Jet lag is kicking my butt 2013-07-23 23:02:48 Comic Con was a blast. It gets more and more fun every year. But man it's tough to get back to the real world! It's so hard to get back on a normal sleep schedule!
- Oi 2013-07-12 23:27:31 Had to work late today. Couldn't get all of the supplies I wanted so I'll have to get them tomorrow when we land. Looks like it'll be an all nighter with the packing.

T minus 5 days until I'm San Diego bound!

This is going to be yet another super busy month. This past weekend I attended Otakon's prescreenings. I had a lot of fun as usual. I was kinda bummed to have missed it last year for my family reunion so I was very eager this year.
This coming weekend I'll be on a plane headed to San Diego! Comic Con isn't until late NEXT week but my friend's mom lives there now so we'll be staying with her before the con when we transition to our hotel.
This week will be very busy with me finalizing costume stuff. I will probably start packing this week.
I'm going to an advanced screening of Pacific Rim tomorrow. I probably shouldn't because things are getting down to the wire, but I probably won't see the film any other way and I hear that while the story is lacking, the robot action is very well done.
So yeah these upcoming two weekends I'll be in San Diego and then the weekend AFTER that is my 10 year high school reunion. I still can't believe it! The event will cost $50 so I'm debating if I should go or not. Thing is, MOST people are on Facebook these days so I don't know if I really need to attend or not. I think I'd be more willing to go if some of my friends go.
- Comic Con is one month away! 2013-06-23 14:21:21 I can definitely use a vacation! But I've got a lot of cosplay work to do in the interim.

I'm an Anime Expo Finalist!

I'm super excited! This is the first time I've been selected, granted I only tried once before back in 2009. It's a really good feeling that I may still have some gas in the tank when it comes to this editing thing. This time I'm doing a trailer and this was my first crack at it. It's just hard to find motivation to really edit considering that I don't watch anime much at all anymore, but I still love to actually edit. If not for my Iron Editor/Iron Chef experience I likely wouldn't have been able to create my trailer. For that reason alone I hope I can continue winning that competition for years to come.
Now that I'm a finalist I regret that I can't attend the actual competition, but I'll be flying in to San Diego one week later to attend San Diego Comic Con.
Fingers crossed that I can make the finals for Otakon as well and still get to see it in its big screen glory and then some!
